The tour was great. Every minute was filled with History. The pace was continuous. Peter covered items from the time of the Roman Empire through the 19th century. I particularly liked the facts of how the city changed over time; it’s rise and fall.

Our guide was Nico, a history student and incredibly knowledgeable, charismatic teacher. He had answers to any questions we threw at him and made the entire outing fun, especially for our sometimes shy tween and teen. We would 100% recommend this tour for anyone looking for a concise summary of Bruges history without having to give it the whole day. By doing it in the morning, we were able to see sites like the Historium in the afternoon and have additional context Nico had provided that morning.

Erik was a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about Bruges and his enthusiasm for the beautiful city was palpable. We loved learning about the history of Bruges from him, both the historical facts and the legends! We actually saw him a few days later at the Belgium independence day festivities and he was kind enough to take time out of his day to tell us about the holiday celebrations and translate some of the speeches for us. We would love to take tour from him again, highly recommend!

Our tour of Bruges was amazing and it was all because of our guide Erik. He truly loves this town and knows his history. He showed us little places we’d never have found on our own and provided us with history and legends to keep it fun and interesting. He went at our pace which was important because one of our party has a former leg injury and has trouble walking fast, especially on cobblestones. We never felt rushed and were never bored. Erik gave a fantastic tour and gave great recommendation for lunch. Totally worth it. Especially when you see the hordes of large cookie cutter tour groups invade in the afternoon. We were thankful for a quiet early morning with our own one -on -one guide.
