While we wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional traveler experience, and we're really sorry to hear that there was an aspect of the service provided that did not meet your expectations.
We think that communication is very important and having a cell phone that's working is paramount. The airport has a free wi-fi internet that is easy to connect to and communicate through Whatsapp. Most seasoned travellers know the pick up location, however the place may be less known for first-time travelers to Brussels.
Indeed we communicated the day before through the Viator messaging system, and we did send you a Whatsapp text message regarding the pick-up location and the fact that the driver was looking to meet & greet you in the Arrivals Hall. I'm glad that once you made your cell phone work, the communication was great and the driver was able to meet you within a minute to the designated area. For future reference, please note that the meeting point is in front of JAVA CAFÉ, located to the right after Passport Control and Customs. Some travelers, such as you, went the opposite way towards the QUICK fast food restaurant and the WH Smith Newspaper shop.
