What To Expect

Greet your guide at a central location in Brussels then set out on your tour of the city. Combine culture with cuisine as you stroll to historic highlights like Grand Place, a former market square, and art nouveau architecture. Browse the window displays of antique shops on Jeanneken Pis and venture inside the oldest chocolate shop in the country to taste Belgian pralines.

Stop intermittently for samples in established chocolate shops, trying specialties like Easter eggs and delicate truffles filled with creamy alcoholic liqueurs. Conclude your epicurean excursion with a chocolate-making workshop in which the complex production processes are revealed.

Under the guidance of a connoisseur, create your own flavor combinations then enjoy the fruits of your labor after you’ve completed them. After your tour of culture and cuisine, bid your guide farewell at another central city location.

Traveller Tips

Highly recommend doing this tour but don't plan a nice meal afterwards because all the chocolate will ruin you lunch/dinner!
It was a very, very crowded day in the city center, but still worth it.
Making your own chocolates with toppings and getting to take them with you is a very nice touch to a great experience.

Great chocolate tour of Brussels. Tastings at 4 different shops with history interspersed both on chocolate and the city. Details on regions, selection, and then a workshop to prepare some creations to take home.
Choccy heaven

Guide was fantastic worth every penny, the chocolate class was a blast, gave good insight on the best choc shops tp buy from.
Fantastic tour!

We had such a great time on the tour! We had some fantastic chocolate from multiple different chocolatiers and learned so much about chocolate and Brussels history. Would definitely recommend this tour to others who are visiting Brussels.
Love learning about chocolate!

Loved going to the Bean to Bars chocolate stores. The guide was very knowledgeable but spoke too fast, even asking him to slow down. I also wished I knew we were also getting some city tour highlights as I could have skipped the morning tour we did. It was nice to include on this tour. I thought the workshop was going to be more hands-on but was really just a chocolate-decorating exercise
Chocolate Lovers Heaven!

WOW WOW WOW - if you love chocolate, you will love this tour and workshop! We learned about the different regions of the world that produce the cocoa bean and how the taste changes between those regions. In the workshop, we made our own chocolates and got to take those with us. The highlight, though, was really Avo, our guide who has extensive knowledge and a great sense of humor, and the chocolate sampling at different chocolatiers and confectioners. The sampling is bordering on Death by Chocolate as there were so many samples provided along the tour and an extensive variety. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Brussels!!!
Chocolate Delight

Mark was very knowledgeable about chocolate. We experienced good Belgian chocolate and then exquisite chocolate at Mary’s. The chocolate workshop was insightful and really a lot of fun. His tour also included parts of Brussels we had not seen before. I highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour! Avo, our guide was knowledgeable as well as humorous. We learned so much about the history of chocolate as well as the city. Ate lots of amazing chocolate and then created some of our own. Highly recommend for any age.

Yummy Chocolate!

This was the best Chocolate tour ever because of the Workshop!!!!! The sister Beer Tasting Tour said they were better, but I KNOW ours was more fun! We visited 3 Chocolatiers, toured the main sites of Brussels then went to our workshop. We had so much fun making chocolate and making friends. Was a wonderful treat/souvenir to take home! We even tasted single origin European Hot Chocolate! I will do this tour the next time I go to Brussels, and I will recommend it to all my friends.
Deliciously decadent

Don’t bother

Zero stars. The tour guide never showed up. I’m just hoping I get a refund but if so that will be at least a week to process.
Response from Host, Oct 2021
Hello Valerie, are you shure it was with us that you booked the tour? A guide that never showed up with us is impossible, even after 35 years of experience. Maybe you were at the wrong meeting point? And whydidn't you call when there was nobody?
Outstanding tour guide, fantastic chocolates!

Chocolate walk
Priscilla_Y, Mar 2020
This chocolate walking tour was great. All the shops we sampled were very good. I especially like the order in which the shops were presented so that we really got a good sampling and were able to see the variations in the tastes of different makers. The workshop was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Christos, was very knowledgeable and not only gave us a lesson in chocolate but also filled us with history of Brussels and Belgium.
Great tour
Yolanda_H, Mar 2020
This was a great way to learn the city it was only two of us for this tour so we got to do extra stuff and when it came for the workshop we took our time it was so much fun to make my own chocolate
