Brussels Private Tour

Our guide Andre was amazing. He showed us around the city of Brussels and explained the history of each of the sites. I would highly recommended the tour if you are interested learning about the history, architecture. Andre even recommend some shops where we can get some delicious chocolate, waffles and restaurant to visit that are outside of tourist area. ~ B

This was the second time booking this tour, and it was only booked due to availability. Bruno was a friendly tour guide. His tour of the main attractions provided a little more detail than the first tour taken a few days prior with my customer which was appreciated. I have taken many private tours traveling with customers and this review is based on collective comparisons. My expectation is a tour guide should have detailed knowledge of the city and their focal points during the tour. It seems this tour company trains people to provide higher -level overview’s. For the cost of this tour I would say explore other tour company options.

I have taken many private tours traveling with customers and this was average at best. Micheal was a very friendly and personable tour guide. It was like visiting a city and having a friend show you around. You will get a very high-level understanding of certain points of interest but he did not know any real detail. Based on the cost I would say there may be better tours available.

Dear Timothy I am sorry to hear that you found the experience a bit disappointing. One key mission at City Unscripted is to have you feel like you are walking through the city with a friend, and from your review it would appear that this was in fact the case. Most of our hosts are not professional tour guides, and although they do have to pass strict criteria with regards to their knowledge of the city, their passion and understanding is very important to us and again it does appear that Michael did in fact display this during the experience. We visited Brussels in early March 2020. Our first afternoon, we had our tour with Ricardo, who was a wonderful tour guide and city host! He was so wonderful with his communication before we arrived - he emailed with us several times before our arrival to coordinate our tour. Although it was cold and rainy, that didn't stop us. We walked most of the city, and got some great lessons in the local culture, history, restaurants and other points of interest. All in the the brief 3 hours we were together! A great start to our visit. Most of all, Ricardo was just overall a lovely host. Informative, kind, friendly and easy-going. Don't hesititate to book this tour - you won't regret it.

Our guide Joel was amazing. He gave us a great overview of the city. Shared some interesting spots to wander after the tour. We were only in town for the day, so this tour gave a us a condense view of the culture, vibe, and history. Would recommend to other travelers. Tip: We enjoy getting a quick overview by a local before wandering around a new area. In my opinion, it saves a lot of time and money when your on a tight timetable.

We had a very enjoyable trip with our private guide, Andrea Mogni. He has lived and worked in Brussels for 25+ years and is enthusiastic about the city’s and country’s history. He was well prepared due to a pre-tour questionnaire that he asked us to answer concerning our interests and highlights we wanted included in our tour. He is also most willing to travel to other cities/countries to provide clients with other tours. We can give him our recommendation without hesitation.

This was a great way to get to know the city. Salvatore was a fantastic guide he took us to all of the city’s sights and some off of the beaten path. The tour is a great concept they send you a questionnaire to find out what your interests are. The tour being private you can ask as many questions without feeling you holding up the tour. Thanks for a great tour Michael

Our guide, Michael, showed us all the main highlights of Brussels on this walking tour! We got to see the Grand Place, the royal palace, Notre Dame, and so much more! He also gave us great ice cream and dinner recommendations.

Communication from Viator was iffy at best. We booked tour 2 mos out & after several emails & phone calls, I was finally connected with my guide 2 days before the tour. Our guide (Joel) was really nice & we enjoyed chatting & seeing the city with him.

Andrea has a wealth of knowledge of Belgium history. He spent more time with us than was stated on the tour. He answered all of our questions. He offered advice on multiple places to eat and shop. We enjoyed the tour and highly recommend him especially to those that like to understand more about the history of world war 2, the history and economy of Brussels,and Europe.

Great way to start a visit to Brussels and to get oriented, especially if you are there for a short stay. The agency City Unscripted organizes this type of tour excellently.
