What To Expect

Your full-day coach tour begins with pickup at your Busan hotel. Travel with your informative guide by climate-controlled coach to top sights in Busan, starting at Beomeosa (Temple of the Nirvana Fish).

Locaated halfway up Mt Geumjeong, the Beomeosa Temple complex showcases traditional Korean Buddhist architectural features on its current structures, which date to the early 1700s after invasions destroyed the old buildings. The original temple was built in 678 during the reign of King Munmu of the Silla dynasty.

Your guide shows you the Beomeosa's many halls, pagodas, and gates, before you head to Gamcheon Culture Village, also known as ā€˜Santorini of the East’ due to its pastel houses, outdoor sculptures and other art installations. The village was built after the Korean War on a hillside, which you explore on foot as your guide leads you through a maze of alleyways to the Sky Garden, where you stop for excellent photo ops.

Have lunch, then visit Korea's largest seafood market: Jagalchi Fish Market. Marvel at the astounding range of seafood on display at stalls that have been principally run by female vendors since the Korean War. Then hop back on your coach to go to Yongdusan Park, a popular destination. Take the elevator to the top of the 394-foot-high (120-meter) Busan Tower and look over downtown Busan. On a clear day, you might see Tsushima Island of Japan across the East Sea.

Wind down with some retail therapy at Gukje Market (International Market), an atmospheric street market where you can find good bargains, souvenirs and wholesale goods. Have time at shopping venues such as Manmul Street, Ggangtong Market and Changsun shopping mall.

Shopping in hand, return to your coach and head to your hotel where your tour ends.

Perfect introduction to Busan...
Birgit N, Nov 2017
Perfect introduction to Busan starting with the old and absolutely beautiful buddhist Beomeosa Temple. After a ride through most of Busan, the very special Gamcheon Culture Village with old houses painted in beautiful and clear pastel colours. Then Yongdusan park and Busan Tower with a splendid view of the city, the sea, the mountains. After a fine, traditional lunch, a cosy walk through Jung-gu, a very nice district in Busan. We walked through Gukje Market, a very lively and popular market and BIFF square Busan International Film Festival down to Jagalchi Live Fish Market with an extraordinary amount of fish and women sellers in large rubber aprons. Outside the Jagalchi Market a view to Busan harbour, one of the largest in the world, and a pair of its many special bridges. As an extra treat, we also drove to Yeongdo Island - passing an absolutely stunning bridge - to Taejongdae Observatory with another splendid view to all parts of the city. A very friendly and competent english speaking tour guide picked us up at our Busan hotel and - after an exiting day - brought us back there. We would absolutely recommend this tour to our friends or anyone visiting Busan.

The guide was a subway conductor and had a very little knowledge of English. He tried hard to be helpful but we could not understand him. The Gamcheon Culture Village should not be recommended for people with limitations to walk. It is 1 hour climbing steps.

You need to go on this tour. Mr. Hong was an incredible guide, and we learned so much about the city. I wrote a longer review previously but for some reason Viator did not save it. Regardless, do not hesitate in booking this tour. Try and see if you can have Mr. Hong as the lead for your experience. Thank you for such an incredible part of my trip to Korea.

Stephanie K, Dec 2015
The van picked us up on time, Ms Kim was our guide for the day. It was Dec 1st but the weather was very mild and we only needed a jacket in the shade. There is a lot of walking and climbing stairs, slopes and old very crude stairs built into a mountain. But if you can make it it's worth it. The temple was full of activity because it was prayer time. The cliffs were beautiful as was the Busan Tower. The fish market was extremely interesting with seafood we don't normally get to see. The BIFF and the international market was not so interesting because we live overseas and travel a lot so this is kind of what you see in Hong Kong, Bangkok, etc. The tour was well laid out and we enjoyed it.

This tour was a great way of seeing and learning a LOT of in a very short period of time one full day. We visited the Beomesa Temple, Camcheon Culture Village, Busan Tower, Gukje market for some shopping, and closed out the day at Jagalchi fish market. We stopped for a delicious traditional lunch and later enjoyed the ice flake dessert. Our guide spoke EXCELLENT English and was extremely knowledgeable about everything from Buddhism and the Korean temples, wars and history, to fish markets, the Korean shipping industry and economy, etc.. She was funny and flexible and was a fabulous hostess for a wonderful day.

This tour was everything it said it would be. Booked for my family of four and we ended up having a private tour. Their tour van is very comfortable and was great for getting around town! Our guide, Young, was extremely knowledgeable and very kind and funny. I live in Korea but didn't know much about Busan, so this was a great way to learn more about the city's history and see all the sights, which are fairly spread-out. Lunch was included.
