Firstly the success of the day is weather dependent. We had perfect weather. Every aspect of the trip was exceptional. The skyrail up to Kuranda and train journey back; the time in Kuranda and all the Rainforestation elements including the beautiful lunch were excellent.

Rained All Day

This tour has the potential to be amazing but sadly it was pouring rain all day and they cancelled the train. The team did the best to pivot and make it enjoyable but we spent too much time at the wild life reserve in the morning. Once in Kuranda in the afternoon many of the shops had closed up for the day. The rain also hindered what you could see from the Skyrail and outlook points. Don't let this review sway you away from booking, just watch the weather forecast and pivot to another day if the outlook is rain.

Trip was so wonderful! Great commentary on the train up sharing history and pointing out scenery. Lunch was very tasty; the Army Duck boat driver (Kane) was fun and shared great information, the Dream Walk was very informative and interesting. Seeing the animals so close was nice. And then the trip back on the Skyrail - breathtaking!

Pick up was prompt. Weather was ideal luckily as it hadn't been for a few days previously. Views to die for and because of the rains the waterfalls were fully loaded and spectacular. Cable car and train rides, carriages clean, staff so helpful. Show excellent too

Great trip…I would have spent more time at the waterfall stop. I was a bit worried about catching the gondola but you have plenty of time. We met a wonderful couple, Sue and Gordon from England. Wonderful time.!

Great first impression for kids' Cairns

Tour guide/driver of the army duck Alissa was very knowledgeable who delivers ample safety rules and information via her interesting way with a good sense of humour. Kids also loved the Aboriginal dance and boomerang throwing experience. I was most impressed with how smooth the process is mapped out with a group of experienced people running tropic wings coaches and the electric buses offered along the way.

We had the best time! The train ride was amazing, loved the duck boat tour, and the skyrail back down was absolutely spectacular—you don’t want to miss this! The bus drivers made sure we all knew where we were going, so it was easy. The lunch buffet was delicious! Highly recommend this tour!

Took the same tour in 2006. The quality of this tour experience has gone down significantly specifically related to aboriginal experience and food that they served as package. It felt very commercialised

So many great experiences packed into one day. From hands on with the aboriginal dancers and boomerangs to holding a koala. Amazing views from the skyrail. This adventure is not to be overlooked. Lunch buffet had many options. Great for family or couples!

Great relaxed day out with our ten year old. Would have loved to have a little more time to shop but we did pick the full packed day of activities. The ONLY disappointment was we could not get a photo with the koala. They stopped doing photos before our last presentation was finished..:( we saw the koalas but could not do any one on one with them. All in all a fantastic day with lots of information about the rainforest. We all really had a great time!

Train ride was awesome such beautiful scenery the army duck ride was really fun, lunch was yummy, aboriginal dancers were fantastic only disappointing thing was there was an electrical storm in the morning so our sky cable was canceled and had to get the coach back but it is what it is they have a safety obligation don’t want to see people get fried. All up a great day 😊
