A great afternoon at the Aquarium! The exhibits are beautiful and informative. The speakers give you a wealth of information. We learned so much about the wildlife and fish species in the FNQ! Kids would love it too! We also had a fabulous lunch at Dundee's restaurant right next door.

This was a great morning! The aquarium was amazing! The lovely lady at the “ star fish tuching area” was beyond my expectations. She explained things to my 3 year old brought out 3 day old baby sea horses to show her. The turtle rehab center with Layla! You just go! So amazing!

Great value for the price and if you have a few hours available. Note that once you get your ticket confined through viator, you will still need to go to customer service ticketing desk to pick-up aquarium issued tickets to enter turnstile for the aquarium.

Nice but check when to arrive

Nice exhibits but presentation times were hard to catch because of the limited timings. Due to when we arrived, we would’ve needed to rush through certain areas to catch a talk but visitors can’t go “backwards” through the aquarium as it is a “one-way” layout (e.g. single escalator going down to the next area so you can’t revisit exhibits)

Hi Gillian, thank you for your review. The Cairns Aquarium operates 7 daily presentations. They operate every half an hour until 1:30 in the afternoon, and are inclusive of repeated shows. So if you miss a presentation in the morning you can catch the same one at a different time in the afternoon. You’re also more than welcome to go backwards while inside the aquarium, as we have elevators next to the escalators that help you move between the floors. Your ticket is also valid all day so if you exit via the gift shop you can actually renter through the aquarium entrance to make sure you catch every exhibit and can most definitely revisit them. If you ever need any guidance inside the aquarium our wildlife educators and our admissions staff are more than happy to offer and help to ensure you get the most out of your experience 😊🐠

To see a live sea horse & other sea creatures, a beautiful experience in the sea world. Even though baby (1 year old)was sleepy but she kept awake & was amazed with all the fish.also the lunch at Dundees restaurant was delicious Thank you so much

One of the best to see in Cairns

Staff was very kind. A lot of natures to see. My partner and I thought it didn't take a long time to look around the aquarium. However, there are many things to watch and enjoy for over 3 hours. We were really satisfied with the journey.
