What To Expect

Your general admission to Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome provides a rainforest experience where you can observe Aussie wildlife and soak up the lush environment. With its rooftop location and views, the unique Wildlife Dome is an all-weather wildlife exhibit, where animals live in settings that mimic their natural habitats. Get up close to Australian wildlife including native birds, who fly freely around the dome, snakes, and pademelons. There's even an opportunity to cuddle a koala and have your photo taken.

Check out the keeper presentations and shows to learn more about the animals, and upgrade your admission to include one, two or several optional activities that enhance your rainforest adventure. When booking, you also have the option to select the 4-Park Pass, which provides entry to three more Queensland attractions: Rainforestation, Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Higher then you think

It is extremely humid and hot in the room so be prepared. The ropes course was higher and harder than I originally thought. I am 67 years old so was only able to do the mud ropes course with help from one of their very nice workers which I am sorry I didn’t get his name as he was extremely helpful to me. He told me how to walk across each part of the course. This would be extremely fun for teens! I challenged myself and was able to complete the course in spite of me being very afraid of heights. The animals were cute and there were some not in cages that was nice.

Avoid Viator

The Cairns zoom and wildlife experience was amazing. However Booking through Viator was disastrous. I followed their options to make adjustments to the booking, which were not recorded, and simply overridden. The payment was taken promptly but through Viator I did not have the option to choose a time, and we had to wing it on the day. Cairns zoom and wildlife staff were amazing, fitting us in their tight schedule despite VIator’s extreme unhelpfulness.

If you want a half-day sort of activity, I highly recommend the dome. We went here first and spent the second half of the day in the aquarium and it was just about perfect since almost everything in Cairns is closed by 5. You get to see some really awesome animals up close and the employees are truly wonderful, you can tell how much they care about the wildlife they work with. I wasn't able to do the ropes course but everyone else seemed to enjoy it thoroughly, and I loved the dome climb to see the city.

We got to hold Micro a cute Koala!!!. The folks working at this facility were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I really loved the place - its small but very informative. they even saved a beautiful giant croc from a Louis Vutton croc farm. Awesome - Would go again!!!

Located on the top floor of the Cairns Reef Casino is the ZOOm and Wildlife Tour. ALOT of fun! The inside climb/ zipline was some times challenging; however, you are allowed to do the climb at your own pace. You are totally safe in that you are wearing a full body harness with "tie-off" at all times during this experience. Very good workout! I aslo did the outside climb (of the building) in which the view of Cairns was awesome. I'm alittle afraid of heights; however, I enjoyed this experience and the staff at the Dome were very friendly/ awesome! You also get to see a very large crocodile, birds, snakes, etc. as part of the Zoo part of this package. Highly recommend this package for anyone wanting to have fun, a workout, an adventure alittle outside the norm!
