    It was a nice trip. Staff was helpful. Glass bottom boat viewing was not great (not their fault, choppy water). But the boat driver gave interesting talk and info about the reef and answered questions well. Best way to see anything is to snorkel. However try on your flippers before leaving boat. Mine were too small. I used my own sandals instead - because too many rocks on beach to go barefoot. Wish though that the boat left a little later but do understand that it’s autumn and it gets dark earlier at this time of year.

    Because the tickets to Fitzroy island has run out. So I book the ticket here. Although 3 bucks more than normal price, it still really convenient for me to book it during the midnight one day before going. I hired snorkeling tools on the boat and Had a really good time on Fitzroy island.

    Pretty darn good! Delivered me to Fitzroy in the morning and were back for the return just on time. Would recommend.

    If just going to Fitzroy island I would suggest booking the Fitzroy Flyer instead. Ferry was delayed 20-30mins each way as the ferry continues for the GBR tour. They say check in 45 mins prior which is way too long and end up sitting on ferry for 60 mins before it leaves.

    The transfers started off fine. Once boarded the whole thing was about the people going onto the reef- nobody even mentioned anything to anyone going to Fitzroy island. After the drop off was done..come pick up time they came to pick up us "non important" guests off Fitzroy Island and of course they were significantly late. We all lined up in the sun at 4;15 like told and the transfer was late.. long story short we didn't end up returning to cairns till 6 pm, when I planned to be back by 5 and have an early dinner in Cairns before catching the bus to my accomodation.

    No one was enforcing masks, the transfer was solely focussed on the pontoon visitors, would've been nice to have some recommendations for Fitzroy

    Beautiful, the coral is very close and there are a great diversity of marine life, I swam with a turtle! The beach and the island are very pretty. Is a pity that for those that are not hosted in the resort the snorkel equipment rent is only available from 1 PM.

    Big three level catamaran quite big and stable. The young lady staff was very friendly and helpful when I started experience a bit of motion sickness at one stage.
