Overview

Glide over the world's oldest rainforest in a gondola, taking in views of the spectacular Barron Gorge and Falls, as you make your way to the village of Kuranda. Once there, choose from a range of activities including browsing local markets and arts and crafts shopping, plus enjoy a relaxing lunch (at your own expense). Then, hop aboard the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for a narrated journey.

Air conditioned transfer available from selected hotels Cairns city and inner suburbs. I regret I can not offer transfers to customers staying on the northern beaches, Machan's Beach, Holloways Beach, Trinity Beach, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach, Palm Cove, Yorkey's Knob and Port Douglas. If you are staying in this locations, please consider other options or contact me directly. Other tour operators are be able to pickup on the Northern Beaches. Northern Beaches and Port Douglas customers without transport please search destination Port Douglas for "Kuranda Day Trip from Port Douglas upgrade to Skyrail & Scenic train available" on Viator. Customers with their own transport can meet at Freshwater Station and be transferred to Skyrail which takes you to Kuranda. The 2pm train from Kuranda arrives Freshwater Station at 3.30 pm where your car awaits! This tour is suitable for cruise ship arrivals to the Cruise Liner Terminal arriving 9am and earlier.

This is an excellent trip. The rainforest is amazing scenic. The trip cost is worth it. If your are a lover of nature Cairns is the right place to go. Michael is a good tour guide. I would recommend this tour to my friends.

A beautiful day out

Michael was so lovely in organising the tour and even when there was an issue due to the rainfall and we couldn’t do the train he made sure we had the best day still and we did the Skyrail return and honestly I wasn’t too upset as it was beautiful and I was happy to do it twice. I booked the koala gardens in advance so I could have a photo with a Koala and Michael gave me all the timings to be able to do this and sent me all the links I needed for this. The village itself is beautiful with lots of markers and lots to look around. Overall a lovely first day in cairns and I had a great tour.

Michael, our guide was great. There was a landslide over the traintracks, cancelling the train. Instead of cancelling the trip, he took us to the skyrail then picked us up and gave us commentary on the was back to town. Kurunda was terrific. The koala garden was great. There were many merchants and eateries. The Barron Falls stop on the skyrail is well worth the stop. I would recommend Michael and Kurunda to everyone!

You need to like heights, it’s a beautiful trip just be aware of that they do stop bringing in immobilised people that can be a bit scary if you don’t know what’s going on

It was my first time for myself and my lovely girlfriend to come to Cairns and Mike did a wonderful job. Mike fulfilled his promises, always on time ,he also keeps us informed about any updates about the trip and he picked us up from the hotel where we stayed at and dropped us off and made the trip as comfortable and very enjoyable .Mike is informative and we appreciate the tour and knowledge he shares with us about areas in Cairns . We had the best time touring both the Skyrail going to Kuranda and the Scenic Rail coming back to Fresh Water Station where Mike waited for us to pick up. We highly recommend Viator to everyone.
