What To Expect

Depart from your Cancun hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan and venture deep into the dense greenery of the jungle to begin your exhilarating zipline experience. Greet your professional guide and listen to a comprehensive safety briefing before donning a protective helmet and safety harness.

Feel your heart rate rise as you ascend to your first platform and begin the 2-mile (3-km) course of vertiginous, high-velocity ziplines. Soar through the jungle and gaze down at the verdant canopy of tropical trees as you relish one of North America’s most thrilling experiences.

Return to land and climb aboard and army truck to travel through the ancient Mayan jungle in search of a secretive grotto. Appreciate sweeping vistas of the surrounding scenery before arriving at a subterranean cenote; glide down another zipline and plunge into the inviting, turquoise water below.

Refreshed, enjoy a light snack in a palm tree hut before returning to Cancun in your air-conditioned vehicle.

My family of 4 (ages 53, 50, 22, and 19) loved this adventure. It was an hour shuttle ride from our Cancun resort. We did the ziplines, roller coaster, and cenote swim. All the staff members (Eric, Dan, and others) were friendly, helpful, and fun. The 10+ ziplines were fun, and not overly scary. The roller coaster was an exciting finish. The cenote swim was amazing. We jumped off the 20 foot platform, went down the zipline, and enjoyed a nice swim. We also purchased the photo package and they turned out great. The food at the end was tasty. I highly recommend this adventure.

As Beautiful as the Photos Suggest

My spouse and I included this activity on our honeymoon and had the best time! Ziplining through (and above) the jungle was beautiful and the team made us feel really safe and moving quickly. Great food, magical location (if not a little bit commercialized), and a very fun day. Only feedback would be that we were a little confused about the schedule at first (bring a snack), but it worked out in the end - they also have lockers available on site and you can rent a nice dry towel as part of a package with the locker. Really solid operation and well-worth including on your trip!

This was one of the best zip lining excursions I have been on. Whether you’re a beginner, an expert, or a kid the staff made sure everyone was comfortable every step of the way. The food they serve you was also the best food I had since being in Cancun! It was authentic and flavorful. I would definitely recommend booking your excursion with them!

I can’t say enough great things about this experience. The staff was helpful, polite and entertaining. This was my first zip line experience. I felt extremely safe and comfortable with the guides. The lines were 80 feet up and we did about 10 segments. If you have never ridden a ATV this is a good first experience. If you grew up riding ATVs I would say pass on that. The cenote was OK. I didn’t feel like swimming but did enjoy the mini zip line into the water. The food was much better than I expected. The photo package was very reasonably priced so I got all of them.I had a blast! Will do again the next time I am in the area.

Staff was super friendly. The activities are super exciting and lots of fun. I did the extreme package and it’s very good value for money. The only improvement which I have told staff as well is to provide slightly better guidance on what to bring and what not to bring to each activity. One person broke her sunglasses which weren’t needed for example. I was told not bring my shoes as we were going to end up in water but then you were able to take them off just before the water event and it would have been more comfortable in shoes vs flipflops that I ended up wearing. Good advice is to bring or buy some water shoes as a good compromise.

This same tour can be booked for $69.30 through Selvatica’s website. I feel scammed paying an extra $30. They don’t mention the name of the actual park you go to on here to get you to pay the up charge. My driver got into an accident on his way to my hotel. I was told by Viator and another driver that he would be 10 minutes late due to a “malfunction”. Turns out the other driver was my initial driver! Why would you lie about my driver being late when you’re my actual driver?! The steps to the zip line are long and tiring and it’s hot so be ready for that. No pictures allowed at all because at the end, they sell packages. The cenote was the best part. It was confusing knowing what we were going to do next because you couldn’t tell who was in your group. But the groups are determined by your arrival time; I was in the 1:30 group which happens to be the last group of the day. The employees were sincerely friendly. The burrito we were given for lunch was nasty in my opinion lol. I asked for no onions and it was full of them.

The Best Day Ever!

This was such an incredible day! We are 65 and 63 and had a blast with our 40 year old kids. From start to finish, these activities were organized and efficiently run. From the many many zips, to the rollercoaster, to the cenote, it was jam packed with fun! The “snack” that they was a delicious, huge made to order burrito. There was so much to do that advice on what to wear was not listed. You rent a locker for $10 and get $5 back when you return the key. Wear clothes that you can get wet on the zipline, as you go through water at the end, but not a brief swimsuit, as the harness will rub your legs. Have dry clothes for the ride home. The staff that runs this adventure are the hardest working polite, helpful people we have encountered! This was so much fun! I highly recommend this trip for anyone!!

Dishonest and disrespectful

Get ready to be scammed and to receive rude remarks. I had to pay $80 for just my photos! Imagine $80 USD for just photos. $10 for transportation. $10 for ATV insurance. $10 for this, $10 for that. The description states max weight limit 150 kg, guess what the max weight for their roller coaster is 110 kg and for the zip line it's 130 kg. "Pepe" one of the workers at the zip line called another customer "Mucho Grande" to his face while laughing coz the customer was bigger in size. Imagine being called that.

Good value but some concerns

The staff were very nice and the ziplinines were beautiful. The cenote was awesome as well and overall it's a good excursion for your money. However, a couple of concerns for sure. 1. Make sure you stay with your group, we went to the restroom when we arrived at the seed of life zipline tour and took no more than 5 minutes but the group was gone when we got back and we had to go find them, turns out we missed some instructions. 2. The locker fee is not included and that's not stated on the site. 3. And most importantly, they didn't wait for the entire group to start going over the safety training/instructions. As I said, everyone was very nice but the layout of the day was not clear, different people told us different things when we asked questions and they didn't do a great job of keeping the group together or letting us know who the group consisted of (wasn't clear whether it was by shuttle or start time and multiple groups were co mingling at one point). Make sure to read the details on this site VERY carefully and try to stay with your guide if possible. The cenote was the best part of the tour but I think the people who selected the ATV riding didn't get nearly as long there.

Ziplining was awesome! Staff was great but too much waiting time for other people doing different activities. Listed as a 1/2 day experience but ended up being a full day. Recommend different transports back to hotels based on when your activity is finished.

They did not come to get my son and his friend at the Grand Oasis. They didn’t get to go on the tour and the hotel sent them on a cab to try and find them at a different hotel. I emailed requesting a refund and have not received a response.

This excursion is not through Viator. They out sources to Selvatica. Minus the driver being 30 minutes late the tour was awesome. 10 zip lines, sky coaster, cenote cliff jumping, lunch and truck ride. The food was great but the customer service of this staff was unreal. The took my five years old through all the zip lines and made his day. There was over 45 people in our group but they moved you through where it didn’t feel like you were rushed. I would definitely recommend Selvatica.

Overall, I'm glad I did it, but was disappointed with the constant upsell.

This was a really fun experience. My family had never been ziplining before and this didn't disappoint. They picked us up at the hotel in a van at about 9:30 am. We traveled about 45 minutes from Cancun to Selvatica. They get you geared up and teach you how it works. They don't let you take your cell phone on the ziplines. I think there are 2 reasons for this. First, they don't want you to be messing with your phone while you should be focusing on the zipline. The second is they want to sell you a picture package at the end. They did allow you to have an attached camera like a gopro. You climb to the top of a very tall tower and you zipline from tower to tower. They keep the line moving and don't really let you think too long about the heights and just get you on the wire and send you along. After the first couple, all of the nervousness is gone. They people are all really nice and efficient. At the end, you zipline into a channel of water which is nice when it's so hot. After the ziplines, they take you to what they call the rollercoaster. It's a track you hang from in a harness and ride down. I didn't know this was part of the deal and was a little nervous but did enjoy it a lot. Warning: The weight limit said that it was 330 lbs but I believe some of the ziplines and at least the rollercoaster have a weight limit of 243 lbs. Just thought I'd make that clear in case it applies to someone (I used to be larger and this would have been an issue for me) After ziplining we had a light lunch of tacos which were very good. They had guacamole and alcohol available for additional fees. Then we boarded an old 6 wheel army truck and drove a short distance to the cenote. This cenote looks like it was developed a long time ago and has seen better days. The life jackets were in pretty rough shape but it was fun and refreshing. This is also the time that those that have the side by side tour take their ride. My biggest issue with this tour was that it seemed a little less clear as to what you did when. I was always a little confused as to what was happening next and afraid I was going to be left behind. Also, the add-ons were really over-priced. For example, the guacamole cost and extra $10 which seems extreme. The picture package, which is the only way to get pictures of your ziplining, cost $29 for a single photo or $90 for the whole package. Overall, I'm glad I did it, but was disappointed with the constant upsell.
