What To Expect

Make your way to the departure point in Cancun for a 7pm sailing on a replica Spanish galleon that’s 93 feet (28 meters) from stem to stern. A pirate crew will welcome you aboard with a drink from the open bar as the Captain tells tall tales of pirate life and escapades.

In a climate-controlled saloon, sit down to the dinner of your choice: options include lobster tail, surf & turf, a New York-style steak, or grilled chicken, and all meals come with steamed vegetables, sides, dessert, and access to the salad bar.

There will be contests, dancing, and entertainment as you sail along the Caribbean coast, as well as dancing on an outdoor deck. The grand finale, though, is when a second ship pulls alongside the galleon for a full-scale pirate battle with swords and pistols drawn. Watch the action as cannons area readied and fired, and pirates jump from the masts to join the brawl on deck. At the end of the 3-hour dinner cruise, your galleon will return to shore (and the modern world), where this tour concludes.

If you or a member of your family is under the influence of any alcoholic or illegal substance, or with an attitude that may affect the rest of the passengers, Captain Hook reserves the right to refuse admission to the ship.

There was constant interaction with the actors while we waited in line. The ship was beautiful! The food at the buffet was very good. Somehow, they managed to get everyone fed without missing anything. We had several encounters with "Captain Hook" while we were in line and when we boarded the ship, he pointed us to perfect seats. The show was absolutely awesome, they even had real sword fights. When they say open bar, they really mean it. We are not big drinkers, but our glasses were never empty. We have to go back to Cancun in January and this show is at the top of our list of things we're going to do.

Enjoyed the entertainment and the party vibe. Food was fine and there was a lot of it. It was a Buffett meal. We were told we were not going to sail because of weather, but we ended up getting to sail so that was a great surprise. The only thing. Boat felt crowded and not a lot of comfortable seating. No real place to eat and you miss the show while you are eating. But otherwise a great time for my family.

Crammed into a small space, awful dinner, more like dog food. Paid Viator and upon arrival a mandatory surcharge was added in addition to the price paid you. Additional $90!! I want a full refund!! Don’t fall for the tourist trap like I did.

Not What We Expected - Not a Good Time

We were expecting a "Dinner and a Show" type evening - something like Medieval Times. Instead we were stuck on a crowded boat for four hours. The food was okay, and the entertainment was a far cry from the type of show we were expecting. Half the time it seemed like they were just trying to kill time. It wasn't fun, funny, or entertaining. The show was "bilingual" but with the cast constantly switching back and forth between both languages half the time I couldn't understand what they were saying in either language. If you want to drink on a crowded boat for four hours with no way to leave, then you might enjoy this. Otherwise skip this for something else.

I booked a group of 26 people. The price of this trip is false advertising. When we arrived after paying $110 We were asked to pay another $20 per person and they over charged me in local Currency. On board the ship every one That served my group asked for tip money. The boat sails out for 5 minutes and drops an anchor So there's barely any sailing. The show is 3rd rate at the least. Waste of money for a cheezy show. I booked this as a fun excursion for my clients and it was so embarrassing .

We had such a good time on the ship. The show was good, the food was pretty good. The characters try to make it interactive with everyone there. From adults to children, English and Spanish. The only thing I would comment on is don’t go hungry because you might not eat right away. They will try to up sell you to better seats. Might want to take them up in that because if you don’t, you might be packed up like sardines.

The tour met our expectations. All the staff were dressed in character and attentive. The show is very childish and very pleasing to children. The end of the ride is a fight between three pirate ships. Food is served slowly and was ok considering it's a buffet and we were on a ship. We bought the tickets through Viator and there was no information about extra fees. In order to go onboard, we need to pay another 380 pesos per person as a surcharge fee. There was no such information anywhere. The stools to sit inside the ship are extremely uncomfortable. Not one person in the group was able to stay seated for very long.

GREAT EXPERIENCE

This was a fun experience. I have to give a big round of applause to the crew because they did a fantastic job with their costumes, their humor and were attentive to your needs. They get the crowd GOING. This is not something for small small children. There are a lot of strobe lights, you might feel the ship rocking and it’s a long trip. There are surprises here and there but nothing to be scared of. The food is great.the party at the end is great. It is a fun time on this pirate ship.

Booze cruise, not for kids

This is a booze cruise, not a family outing. People were sloppy drunk and grinding on eachother by the eventual end of the trip. The English was very lacking, hard to follow, it was SO LOUD, and my kids and all the other kids looked like they just wanted it to end... which it didn't for many hours past when it got old. The ship was cool and the actors were very nice, but just call it what it is - a party boat for adults.
