Excellent tour
Aryn_D, Mar 2023
Wonderful excursion with a very knowledgeable guide! Sac atun was beautiful the guides took great care of us
Full day of fun and a lot of information!
Simon_S, Mar 2023
We had a great day. Victor Manuel was very knowledgeable and shared so much with us on Mayan language, mathematics and architecture. Maybe too much for some of us in group!
Great bang for your buck
Leigh_H, Mar 2023
I am so glad we booked this small group tour instead of taking the large bus. It saved pickup/dropoff time at other resorts and gave us a personalized experience. our guide Paul was really informative about the Mayan people. We had enough time everywhere and never felt rushed. Lunch at the cenote was buffet, not serve yourself I was happy to see, and very tasty. It was a long day but all in all a great excursion from Riviera Maya. Highly recommend!
Wonderful day trip and tour
Erin_O, Mar 2023
Amazing day trip! We were promptly picked up at the hotel at 7am. Car was clean and comfortable. Driver was great. Our guide, Pedro, was fantastic. He answered our questions on the drive from Cancun about the area, best local food, etc. The tour he gave of Chichen Itza was very detailed and informative. We learned so much and even our kiddos (10 and 7) were interested by the human sacrifice theories. We decided to visit the cenote saamal, and they gave us plenty of time to eat lunch and swim (both included) Highly recommend this tour and guide!
Anyone but Alberto
Vidisha_G, Feb 2023
Unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant experience on this private tour. I’ll start off my saying, our driver Roberto was amazing but the tour guide, Alberto was awful to our family. The shuttle was on time to pick us up at our hotel and the trip started off great. When we got to Chichen Itza, there are vendors that are trying to sell us things, as we’re about 10 minutes into the trip, Alberto says, “are you going to ship or do you want to tour?”. We were obviously caught off guard by that tone and question but laughed it off said we can shop after. As we’re doing the tour, we asked questions that were answered in extremely condescending ways. For example - my mom asked what the different shapes of the buildings were and if they represented anything and the answer was “well where do you live, don’t they have different shapes or buildings there?” I’ve been to chichen itza before this trip and so I wanted to take my family there - this tour was not enjoyable. When I asked about the two cenotes inside chichen itza, Alberto said, one of them is dried out and the other one is muddy but it’s a five minute walk that way- you can walk there yourselves and I’ll meet you at the exit in 30 mins. Once we got to Ik kil, which he didn’t give us any backstory on, I asked, what time should we be done here so we can spend some time in Valladolid which he responded to by saying, we usually just drive by Valladolid and don’t stop but to just take a pic. He got rude and aggressive once I looked at the schedule provided above on the breakdown of the trip (Valladolid 45 mins) and said “this is a private tour so we don’t have a schedule”, which is the opposite of what he made us feel all morning by rushing us from the Chichen Itza and ik Kil. I would recommend this tour but not our tour guide, Alberto, and would specifically ask for another guide. He was rude to my family and extremely condescending. He wanted to rush our entire experience.

The trip to Chichen Itza with miguel and Benjamin was wonderful! The were ready to meet every wish - where to stop, hiw to find mexican art etc. Etc.
Tour was great ...tequila store/factory scam
Anthony_K, Feb 2023
Miguel our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable about the history of the Mayans and the different areas we went to..he very helpful..on another note when visiting cenote the restaurant food was great but stay away from the so called tequila stores that have the el jefe stores that are there..not only do they charge you a high peso to dollar rate but the tequila is fake and company..they sale fake cigars. We made the mistake and got roped into the tequila taste testing and got a bottle. after reading reviews of the el jefe riviera tequila on Google apparently the sale the fake stuff all over the tourist area..other then that the tour it self and guide was worth it.
Amazing

Do not EVER book with Viator!
jennigablehouse, Jan 2023
DO NOT EVER BOOK THROUGH VIATOR. Talk about bait and switch! We booked this tour, only to find out that Chichen-it’s was closed and had been for 2 days! Viator had 2 days to contact me to let me know and offer a refund or revised itinerary and failed to do so. They finally called 90 min into the tour. The guide and driver were very apologetic that Viator completely missed the opportunity to tell us about the change and offered to let us go see other ruins and let us choose from a couple options. Only once we were 90 min down the road did Viator call to share the news. I would have cancelled this private tour had it been shared with me and book something completely different. When I contacted Viator to explain my frustration about their lack of communication, things got worse. They didn’t care and weren’t even willing to refund the difference between the tour we went on and what we paid for which was $220. I will never ever book with them again and will make sure to share my experience with everyone I know. Buyer beware. They are scammers.

We are very sorry for the experience you had, however it was a problem that is out of our hands, the peasants and merchants from the towns near Chichen Itza closed the road in protest with the government, we could not know it. It took a few days for them to find a solution and we could have access to the ruins. We apologize for this inconvenience

Rodolfo (Driver) Roberto (Tour Guide - Licensed Archeological Certified Guide) Clean Trasportation, Provided Snacks, Beverages (Beer, water, soft drinks) Protest stopped us from seeing chicken pizza so we detoured without a hitch to Ek Balam (would recommended). The Private tour got us to Ek Balam before the main crowds, then we arrived at the Salam Mayan Cenote before all the tourist and had the whole place to ourselves.
Inspired Heritage Mayan Tour of Chitzen Itza, Cenote Samuel and Valladolid
Richard_D, Dec 2022
Collected on time from our hotel in Puerto Morelos, family of four adults. Omar our driver was fantastically safe and efficient driver throughout the day and we were very comfortable in a large Chevy Suburban. Thank you Omar Our guide Miguel was amazing, engaging and so passionate about his Mayan heritage throughout which brought the trip to life. We visited Chichen Itza, Cenote Samual incl lunch and brief visit to Vallaldolid. The buffet lunch at the Cenote was truly wonderful and would recommend this Cenote Left hotel at 7am and back at 6pm. Truly inspiring and one of the best guided tours we have taken in the last 40 years. Thank you Miguel and Omar! Highly highly recommended!
Fantastic tour from start to finish
Nathan_M, Dec 2022
Seeing the Maya ruins was amazing, and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable with the Mayan culture, but the hero of the day was visiting the Salva Maya Cenote. My kids (9 and 11 years) loved jumping into the cenote from a platform which was manned by a lifeguard. The buffet lunch was also well presented, and the food was amazing at Salva Maya. Our group of two families with 4 kids decided to skip Valladolid which kept our tour between the hours of 8AM and 7PM. I am not sure it would be possible to accomplish seeing both Chichen Itza and visiting a cenote from Cancun in under 11 hours, just an honest opinion for you. Paul was our tour guide; he answered all of our questions and guided us superbly. Fantastic tour from start to finish.
It was great!!
Beth_Y, Dec 2022
This tour was excellent. Jesus and Carlos made our day great. Jesus was hilarious and engaging with the kids. The information was detailed and very personal. We all enjoyed the day very much. The cenote we went to was great and he helped us every step of the way
Great experience!
Celeste_W, Dec 2022

Great Drive (Rudolpho) and Guide (Uli)
Yeshwanth_K, Dec 2022
Very knowledgeable tour guide Uli. Uli tailored the trip based on our needs. Traveling with a toddler was slightly challenging but Uli did his best to keep the trip informative and fun. The driver (Rudolpho) was a safe driver. Always maintained speed limits and made us feel safe on the roads of Mexico.
Alberto and Benjamin of...

Alberto and Benjamin of Cancun Elite were wonderful! We were able to avoid the crowd at Chichen Itza and cenote.

Chichen Itza and Salva Maya
Evan_V, Nov 2022
Beto our guide was excellent, extremely knowledgeable regarding the Maya people, highly recommend Salva Maya for the cenote stop. Just did a drive by the central plaza of Valladolid, interesting architecture but by the end of a long day didn’t feel the need to make a stop.
