Terrible experience for return to airport service by van!

Terrible service for airport return! Email on 4/28/23 shows 9am pickup as was scheduled. Arrived in lobby at 8:40 as directed. We were told someone (?) changed our pickup time to 8am. No, we didn't ! Had to get taxi when we were told he left, costing $102. to get us to airport arrival at 9:30. Obviously we were in the lobby in plenty of time for 9am pickup Iberostar valet confirmed driver was there and left just after 8 although the no show voucher shows 8:35 arrival!

Terrible would be an understatement

Terrible experience! Our tickets for my wife and I purchased by my mom, we had the actual ticket printed out with the barcode in our hand and also had it in my apple wallet, after finally finding a driver for us this was about 20 min of waiting, we get in the van but they wouldn't let us leave because they needed my moms driver license, having just landed both our phones didn't have cell service or internet service (even though we called att before our trip and were told we wouldn't have problems) so we had to use one of the workers hotspots to call my mom who already used etransfers services 2 hours before we got there so they had her drivers license saved in their system, finally after getting ahold of her she told them they have her info on file, they apologized and we were on our way this was another 30 minutes probably... but... that wasn't the end of it! We start driving and the driver asks what hotel we tell him, he nods his head yes, then he asks again so we say it again then he hands us his phone and it's google translate so we realize he doesn't speak English at all! It was a total mess bc we knew the resort name but couldn't get the address bc we didn't have cell service anymore!! After about 25 min of trying to tell him he finally realized where we were going and we got there... this was one of the most stressful experiences I've ever dealt with.

We came out at the terminal in the middle of the night, waited 90min, noone came, asked all companies that were there at the entrance, noone was there for us so i had to pick an expensive transport to PDC. The guys told me that they are sorry later and would give us a free ride back to the airport, but now iam not able to contact them any more. Would not book again here. No clear procedere.

Dangerous and terrible company

Driver pulled over to stop because taxi drivers said we couldnt leave. Then we had to wait and were forced to take a taxi. When asking for a refund because we were delayed and intimidated, the company said it wasn’t there fault and the driver was scared. This company admits it can’t keep its customers safe or deliver on its service. Shouldnt exist if it can’t do what it’s supposed to.

I appreciated that the driver arrived a few minutes early for pickup at our hotel in Playa del Carmen. The vehicle was very comfortable. The driver was courteous, helpful and pleasant. We got to the airport in plenty of time. My daughter and I were on different flights departing from different terminals at Cancun Airport and the driver dropped us off at our respective terminals. He asked us if we were sad to leave Mexico and we said yes! But we'll be back and I would book with Viator again.
