What To Expect

This full-day tour from Cancun gives you glimpses into ancient Maya civilizations and present-day Maya life. After morning pickup from your hotel, travel with your certified guide to Coba, a ghost-city surrounded by tropical rain forest.

In Coba, ascend the tallest pyramid in Yucatan, 138 feet (42 meters) high. After appreciating the commanding views from the top, explore the sprawling archaeological zone by pedicab. Discover lost temples and pyramids, and learn about the significance behind the Maya date inscription of 21.12.12 engraved on a column.

Continue to Tulum, a former Maya port perched on top of a cliff, offering spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. Stroll through the ruins, and admire the temple of murals, the lighthouse and a house that was reserved for the high class.

At a nearby village, observe how modern Maya people live today. Enjoy a freshly made lunch prepared by locals using traditional Maya recipes.

Your tour also includes swimming time at an underground cenote lake before you’re transported back to your Cancun hotel.

Awesome tour! Suzannah was a great tour guide. Very informative and the sites were amazing. Pick up was on time and everything was very organized. Leg room is a little tight on the bus, but other than that, it was a very comfortable ride. Highly recommend this tour!
