  • An additional surcharge of 380 MXN for the Natural reserve fee for conservation efforts and Tulum Local Tax is payable on the day of your activity.
  • Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby or meeting point 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
  • Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Cancun, Playa Mujeres, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen Hotels. You will confirm your exact pickup time with the local tour operator.
  • If your hotel is outside coverage you will be asked to meet the tour at a nearby location.
  • Hotel pickup from Tulum hotels is not available. Passengers staying at Tulum Hotels must meet the tour at the designated meeting point.
  • You should bring swimwear, towel, a change of clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent and spending cash for incidentals.

  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Never again … your better off going on your own

It was supposed to be 6 hours and ended up being an hour in Tulum and an hour at the cenote with no tequila tasting . Our tour guide gave us a 10 min pep talk and and then left us to walk around .He gave us one hour to walk freely and meet him back at the beginning which was a taco stand for us to have optional lunch . It takes 20 minutes to get there so …there was not enough time to see everything. Moments I waited for my entire life and I was with my family speed walking trying to make sure we can see as much as possible while everyone else around us were with a guide being taught and explained what they were looking at . I know I paid for 6 hours . Does the 6 hours mean the drive as well ?… and how is it a tour of the guide is not there . And last but not least at the cenote he had me leave my wallet with him and said he would watch it . I had to wake him up cuz he was asleep next to all our stuff

Good but rushed

It was a great time. I just wish the tour was not as rushed as it was bc it was difficult to even take pictures and actually enjoy the experience. There was not even allotted time for changing out of the wet clothing i had to just go on my own terms and risk being left bc it was a long 1hour ride and i did not want to sit on wet clothing.

The tour was amazing, Layla our tour guide was very passionate about the history of the Mayan civilization and the natural wonders of Mexico. She also provides a lot of useful information to navigate and purchase things as a tourist. We had a fantastic time on this excursion. Layla was our tour guide and Jimmy was our driver and both were fantastic! Layla provided really great historical facts about the mayans and their culture and had a lot of enthusiasm in her education! I learned things many new things. The hotel pick up is super convenient and appreciated but does take some time; good time to relax. Tulum is first and it was so very hot. Bring the items stated in the post, hat, sunblock, comfy walking shoes, etc. I saw many people walking with umbrellas for shade and recommend that. There are places to get drink and food if needed. After Tulum, you go to the cenote and it was so welcomed and refreshing. The rocks are a little slippery so water shoes would be ideal! Stay hydrated! Overall, it was a great day and would 100% recommend this excursion. Layla and Jimmy were the best!

The tour was very organized, when someone didn't show up at their pickup time, our tour guide acted quickly in ensuring that the schedule of the day wasn't impacted by people who did not show up. We enjoyed learning about the history and our tour guide was very knowledgable and had lots to share, however, we joined the tour hoping that we would have a guide who would tour the site with us and explain things along the way. Our guide simply brought us to the site, stood under a tree and spoke for a good 15 mins about the history before telling us we have free time at the site. We ended up reading the info on the plagues ourselves, which kind of defeated the purposes of us going with the tour group. The walk to the site was also long (half an hr walk in the heat), wish we could have transport that brings us a little closer to the entrance.

Layla was a dream of a guide. Calm and collected in the excruciating heat. She patiently kept what turned out to be an unruly group of tourists together with her calm energy. Gave us a great tour of tulum and took us to the beat spot in the cenote. Ricardo the driver was super efficient as well. He did his absolute best getting us from Cancun to Tulum to cenote and back. Great tour.

This tour was one that we will remember forever! Our tour guide Layla was very informative and knowledgeable about the Mayan history and culture of Tulum. We could clearly understand everything she was telling us, and answered every question we had. Timmy our tour bus driver also helped carry our bags when he didn't have to, and kept us safe on the road. Highly recommend Layla and Timmy and glad we chose this tour!

Our tour operator was the kindest and most helpful person. She was passionate about our well-being, gave many important tips, and was informative with her love of Mexican history. I loved her usage of tech gadgets to educate the group about the Mayan history and sinkholes...cenotes. We truly treasure the extra specials she included!! ❤️ It's obvious she's connected to her country and completely 100% service-oriented!! I'd say our experience was one of a kind.

Wow first off this was the best experience ever. The Tulum ruins and cenote tour with pick up and drop off is the way to go for a half day of unforgettable fun in Tulum. We had a great time at the ruins and the star of our trip, Jerry Garcia was our amazing tour guide who shared life changing knowledge with us and made the trip extra fun. Jerry dedicated his life to learning lots about the Mayan calendar and astrology and the way he guided us through the ruins felt way more personal and informative than someone just rambling on with textbook facts, and it shows through his passion of teaching. Jerry spoke and understood English just as amazing as Spanish and he made us feel excited and comfortable with our trip, checking on us, taking breaks and being in the shade during brutally hot parts of the day. The cenote was unforgettable as we also got to make a new friend that was in our tour group with us, did a tequila tasting at the end and got dropped off by 3pm. It truly was a perfect day! Layla was our tour guide for this tour. Very attentive and knowledgeable. I liked the ruins and cooling off at casa de tortuga was well needed (wish it was longer time there)the cenote was a great spot but highly recommended bring pessoa or cash in hand for the trip. Great communication!

swimming in Cenotes and stories of the ruins was awesome. there are 3 cenotes at the location but we were limited to one maybe because too much for guide to manage which is understandable. Will go back to experience the others.Great time

We went with 13 friends to Tulum and cenote swim. Layla and Timmy did a great job and made the trip very enjoyable. Layla share a lot of interesting information about the Mayan culture and the ruins. Swiming in the Cemote was both beautiful and very refreshing. Highly recommend this excursion.

Does not meet your expectations

This tour operator insists that you be on time. I was at my hotel lobby by 7:05AM for a 7:15 pickup and the driver arrived at almost 8AM. Ironically, after “waiting” for a client at another hotel. He actually admitted it, OMG. Upon arrival at the site, they didn’t offer a trolley ride from the parking lot, which would’ve been helpful considering it was almost 100 degrees. The tour was narrated from a “personal” point of view by Sylvester, an older gentleman with a heavy accent, very difficult to decipher. Very little “historical” information was provided and we were rushed through the site because of the time the driver & tour leader spent “waiting” for others. They even took us out of our way to pickup three more people to compensate for the loss of participants and that took another hour out of the actual tour at Tulum. Our private time was reduced from one hour to 40 min. NOTE: It takes almost 30 min to walk out of Tulum if you don’t use the trolley. And I was a marathon runner. Ergo why I don’t understand why they didn’t offer a lift to the parking lot. NOTE: You cannot access the ladder or beach anymore because the seaweed pileup has paralyzed the sea wall and beach. The government has stopped cleaning it up. But they don’t tell you that. The cenote (Tortuga) was ok, but very crowded. Wear mosquito repellent, they are vicious here. The zip line is overpriced for a single run. Other than that, not much to brag about. NOTE: Bring Mexican pesos in small denominations if you don’t want to be a victim of their bait and switch game. They all have “buddies” that will hook you up with lunch, better exchange rates, etc.. They do not. The exchange rate is the same EVERYWHERE. Do not go into the 7-11, the food is questionable and everyone touches it. NOTE: Be sure to use her restroom at Tulum’s entrance upon arrival and before you leave the park. They also have the restroom racket going where they will try to charge you $$$ to use their restrooms.

We enjoyed this tour to the Tulum ruins and Casa Tortuga cenote. Generally speaking things went smoothly, though time at the cenote is limited (and while there are several on the property we were only taken to one), and the water was quite thick with algae (it is open to the sun). Our pickup was late and we would have preferred to be kept informed via WhatsApp, this made things a little stressful at the beginning. Overall the tour is a great value. Bring some money for pizza at the cenote, in addition to the USD 15 fee payable at the beginning.

Absolutely perfect excursion! Highly recommend. Our guide, Miguel, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I felt like I learned SO MUCH just by chatting with him on our drive. Tulum was excellent, and the separate guide there was amazing. We stopped for a tequila tasting and bought four bottles- prices were fair and we were able to get artisan bottles not sold in duty free/liquor stores. The cenote was perfect- beautiful and cerulean water. I did the cliff jumps 5 times :)

This was our first trip that we did not purchase from the resort but instead pre purchased before coming to Mexico. It’s so worth it. Trips on the resort is such a rip off. Our experience was amazing! The tour itself, the guide (Miguel), the van… everything was on the level but for half price. If you are hesitant to book here or directly from the resort then I strongly recommend booking here. You will getting the same high level of service and safety for half price. Never booking on a resort again!
