Wonderful experience

The trip itself was excellent, the tour guide Martin was very informative and gave us loads of interesting info, the massive negative was the ride back to the hotel after leaving the wonderful cenote, we got on to the coach at 4.45pm were on there for two hours after making stops to different hotels to drop off other guests which is understandable but then we were taken to a small minibus where all the remaining passengers got on and taken to all other hotels which took a further hour and 45 mins so a total of nearly 4 hours, if i had known the return journey was this long i wouldnt have booked the trip but also felt that we could of met the smaller bus sooner so the other hotels could have been advoided and would have made our return an hour less

I really enjoyed the tour. First I truly appreciate the email that they send the day before the trip. It will tell you a detailed instructions on what to bring, what to wear and what to expect from the trip. The trip has knowledgeable tour guides. Alan was so funny! I was dreading the long bus ride but he made it exciting by telling jokes but at the same time narrating the history of Tulum,CobA and Cenote. He taught us how to do Math the Mayan way. Ivan the driver was nice and made sure the bus was taken care off. My only request though is if the tour will have more time for the Cenote. 1 hour is not enough to enjoy and swim in it.

Amazing experience

Alan and Abraham were amazing. They stayed all day with us, while letting us having free time. Alan was an exceptional bilingual teacher. He was there for us and guided us wherever we needed. The transportation is very confortable and Abraham was a nice and patient driver. He drove us until 8am to almost 8 pm everywhere and always had a smile on his face. Alan went deep into the explanations while having a great sense of humour. All the description is accurate. At the end you’re going to be tired, because one day for all three activities is not much time but they made it work. The lunch was great, you have a choice between tacos, burritos, quesadillas, alcohol, soft drinks and more. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone.

Okay Tour - made to rush in places

Not exactly as what the advert stated for the tour, timings were a little over the place and some places we were made to get around quicker. Coba we did not get to do the main ruins as we only had about 30mins there and should have had more, and the only way to get there and back in time was to take hire a bike or a 3 seater pedalo but as a family of 4 we would have had to take 2, so decided just to go to the ruins when you go in past the entrance. The coach was comfortable the tour guide was knowledgeable and was good at explaing the history of the ruins at tulum and Coba. Best part of the tour was the cenotes which was cool and much needed after the extreme heat walking around the Ruins. However, 15 mins in the closed and 15 mins on the open and then had to get changed for the coach back.

Please take ice and water

I wasn't prepared for the heat,the lateness of the bus(2 hours)and then having to switch busses half way in the trip but I'd recommend anyone to take the tour. If you visit in the summer, walk with ice, not just water, sunscreen,hat,shades are a must. Bring something sweet(soda or orange) to get your mind right after the heat stroke( I wasn't prepared and I thought I'd die). The bus driver and guides were amazing,don't remember their names as I was dehydrated. But if you love history as much as I do, go and have fun. The cenotes are a huge plus after the heat and in coba, you can rent a tricycle for 10us to have someone take you to the sites...so save yourself the extra walking and ride in comfort.

The tour start with a friendly tour guide Victor aka Motomoto , driver excellent and bring waters to us , even though weren’t included in your . We have a delay due 3 passengers that decide to stay at their hotel . Very comfortable bus , I recommend this tour with them

The tour was good…it was very hot that day we loved the cenote. The only thing I must complain about is the extra fee for the Tulum entrance of $15.00 p.p. and $5.00 conservation fee, which I think should be already included with what we paid for the tour

SCAM! DO NOT BOOK!!!

If I could leave 0 starts I would!!! This touring company is filled with SCAMMERS! My friend and I booked a full day tour. We weren't staying in the hotel zone so they shared a meeting spot with us that we needed to get to at 7:25 am. We got up pretty early to make sure that we got there before the time. We arrived 7:12am (more than 10mins early.) We were the only persons standing in place and trust me we stuck out like a sore thumb (in the best way of course ;)! ). I notified them via the viator app that we had arrived. My travel mate did the same via whatsapp. NO ONE RESPONDED TO ME until after 7:30. My travel mate called the number provided in the booking and was put on hold for over 10 mins. We finally got someone and they said the guide was at our location. We told them where we were and they put us on hold and then hung up. We tried calling again multiple times and no one answered. We tried texting via whatsapp and they took forever to respond. My friend and I were contacting them separately via whatsapp. They gave us both some cockamamie story that the guide provided video proof of walking around and calling out our names and was unable to find us so they left. We asked for them to share the video proof just to indulge them. They did and neither my friend nor I were able to download or play the video even on wifi ( the video was FAKE). I requested that they initiate a refund because the guide (if he was at the location any at all) did not do his due diligence to find us. They had our contact info, email, phone number, active chat in viator and at no point in time were we communicated with to see where we were. The response was that they had proof that the guide was looking for us and we weren't there so I have to go through my bank to get a refund that way. The audacity!!! This company runs a shady business. I'm not sure how they have such high ratings but it's a scam in my book. If you are not on the hotel zone DO NOT BOOK! They will not try to pick you up. SAT Mexico I'm waiting on you so to do the right thing and issue my refund. If y'all wanna do business, do it with integrity. This is unacceptable.

Poor, sloppy Tourism/ Leadership

Our tour date was on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. First, Victor our tour guide did not communicate well throughout the tour. At times, we did not know where the bus meeting place was when the excursions were done. He seemed more interested in collecting the admission fees than keeping track of the passengers of the bus. Also, he did not maintain order on the bus. There were a few families who had younger children (approximately ages 3-9) who were allowed to jump/run from seat to seat and across the aisles as the bus was in motion. The children were also pulling on the window curtains and tapping their feet against the window. There was a family of 4 (2 Adults & 2 younger children) who boarded the bus and took up 3 rows of seats which gave other passengers limited seating options. Victor did not say anything, he continued to allow this. During the stop at the Cenote, the tour guide went swimming with the passengers instead of watching and keeping track of others who weren't swimming. He job is to oversee the safety of his passengers, how is he supposed to do this if he was swimming in the Cenote? I think that going forward, the tour guide should assign seating when boarding to make over ride more comfortable for others riding the bus. Also, the passenger's safety should be his first priority but that was not the case.

Terrible experience

I would love to leave a review but the tour company never picked us up. We waited 2 hours in our hotel lobby, tried calling but no response. Viator was not helpful at all, and now they are offering us only a partial refund. Looks like we will have to move forward with a formal complaint and involve a lawyer if we do not receive full compensation.

This tour could have been improved

My thoughts on this tour , the guide didn’t do much at all during the tour , at Tulum we were left to explore mostly by ourselves , listening to other tour groups around us they did a much better to explaining the history of the site and spent more time with their groups , coba , he ddnt even take the time to explain anything in coba , basically told us to go in , I rented a bike to take us to the main temple and was I did because there was no way that I could make the main temple With. The time we were given to get there and back , the lunch was just so so and the cenote compared to the other cenote that I visited was the worst in terms of facility and beauty and the tour guide was terrible

A Great Mayan experience!

We went to the Tulum, Coba and Cenote tour and had a great experience. Our tour guide, Edwin, was knowledgeable, courteous and highly caring. He made the tour come alive with information and humour. The events proceeded smoothly and as per schedule. The only precaution is for the Tulum part of the tour - wearing light clothing, having lots of bottled water and having an umbrella handy will certainly help as it can get very hot. The Coba ruins are located amidst a forested area with trees providing lots of shade. The cenote swim in the underground freshwater aquifer was truly refreshing. Overall a wonderful experience.

Mediocre tour marked by poor communications

I booked this tour based upon discussion with the salesperson about where and when we would be picked up. Only the night before when I had already turned off my computer did I get an email specifying an earlier time and an inaccessible location. They left without us. They offered us a tour the next day, without mentioning that it would be a shorter tour that did not include Coba. The t our guide was frienly and efficient, but taught us little about Mayan culture. It was a long and frustrating day, and we wll felt it was a horrible waste of time.
