Pickup details

- During the booking, please choose Pickup Location and then select the radio button saying "Please pick me up at" and choose "I don't see my pickup location" from the drop-down then type the hotel name on the box underneath so that we can easily locate your hotel pickup. -In case your accommodation is not a hotel you must indicate your exact address including street name, outside number, interior number, county, postal code and city. - To know the exact time and meeting point you must send a message thry the option on your reservation or must call us at least 24 hours prior to the visit date purchased. - We would like to make it comfortable for you so we will pick you up at your hotel or at the nearest point available in our routes. - Let us know if you are not in need of transport. - We cannot assure your pickup at a hotel where you are not a guest considering that some hotel's policies, not allow visitors to access at the property. - The guides will be dressed in red t-shirts with the Xcaret logo on the back for easy identification. The guides will say the tour name out loud. - Upon your pickup, please present your printed or digital voucher and photo ID for boarding the bus to obtain a bracelet for entering into the park. - If by the time you purchase the ticket you do not have the hotel yet, you must contact the Customer Service Viator staff at least 24 hours prior to the visit to the park to help you to coordinate the pickup with us. - You must be 10 minutes early at the assigned location. Transportation service is not private so you will share the bus with some other visitors of Grupo Xcaret.

What To Expect

Following morning pickup at your hotel in Cancun, travel to Xel Ha for a day of exploration and discovery. 

After a 1.5-hour scenic ride through Mexico, arrive at Xel-Ha, located on an inlet on the Riviera Maya. Pick up your all-inclusive bracelet and get to work exploring. 

Bike, ride a tram, or trek to the top of the river at Xel Ha. Review the safety instructions before jumping into an inner tube and floating past mangroves until you reach a spot where you can cliff dive. 

Stroll through the network of paved trails, where you can spot Mexico's array of wildlife like iguanas and tropical birds. Reach caves, a floating bridge, and a hidden beach. 

Apply some biodegradable sunscreen, available onsite and required to preserve the park's ecology, before diving in to the lagoon. Don the provided snorkeling equipment for views of rays and angelfish swimming around you. 

Stop at the buffet, the sit-down restaurant, or any of the park's snack bars for lunch or a quick bite. Enjoy unlimited beverages from the bar for the duration of your stay. 

At the end of your eco-adventure, you'll be returned to Cancun for drop-off at your hotel.

We were able to negotiate those costs and that is the only way to get photos of that experience as cameras of any kind are not allowed.
The bus ride is picking up a bunch of people including you and driving you to the park and then the same case driving you back home… bring head phones and a full battery.

Snorkeling, River tubing, Zip Bikes were great. Walked to the ocean to find a secluded beach to rest on from a quite active day. We had the beach to ourselves. Lots of activities to do. Only one minor complaint; the restaurant lines were too long.
If you were looking for a sign, this is it.

Amazing experience with tubing and snorkeling. Great food and bar. Lot of activities around the park. Be ready to walk a lot, but plenty to enjoy if you do have mobility issues.

Swimming with stingrays was the absolute highlight of our visit to Xel-Há that people should not miss. Snuba-diving is another memorable experience that people that like snorkelling should try. Food and drinks were good in the park - I can say that it is worth spending a full day in park since there are several activities for everyone to try.

Xel-ha was beautiful- lots to do. We spent a long time snorkeling, and did some ziplining, lazy river and the slide. The food was the usual buffet food-nothing great but enough to hold you over. I am disappointed in the photo pass. Many many times our wrist bands would not scan, and the worker on the zip line was just screaming at us to go so we weren't able to get photos. My husband and daughter's didn't scan on the slide, and before purchasing we were told photographers would be throughout the park to take photos... however, we only encountered one (with parrots) our entire time. The 95.00 we spent for photos was not worth it, which is a shame because it was a beautiful place and I'd love to have lots of photos.

Fun excursion. Easy transportation. Prompt pickup from hotel and park. Give you your park pass (wristband) on the comfy bus with AC. Clear instructions for pickup at end of day. The lockers etc included were handy. Great food at the Mexican buffet restaurant - better than our resort (Riu Yucatan). Variety of dishes, pollo con mole, barbacoa, etc. cocktails. AYCE and drinks were great. The train taking you to the start of the river was handy. And bicycles for the trail too. Liked getting to the park early to start enjoying before the crowds. Washrooms and stations with life vests, snorkel gear, and water fountains and bottle filling stations very handy. Lots of areas to lounge too. Wish there had been more fish but guess a snorkel excursion would be required for that.

Loved it here. We had such a good time. We did so much. Feeding the Manatees was my highlight but the boat was the best. It was so fun and expect to get soaked. You do unfortunately have to wear a life jacket in all the water. The drinks and food was good. Give yourself time. I thought we would make it through everything but we didn't. I am definitely going back to finish. Be prepared, it was a 2 hours drive on the shuttle bus from my hotel in Cancun.

XelHa was amazing! So so so much! The only downside was riding the busses. That was a very long trip because we stayed in the hotel zone and had to wait a while while we picked up and then dropped off other people. Next time, I would most likely go for private transportation. Other than that, highly recommend the park!

My husband and I decided to book this trip. We got off to a rough start because the bus was 45 minutes late, and then we had to change buses, which was a little ridiculous. Honestly, the hotels don't even start serving breakfast until 7 am and so we missed breakfast to be on on time for the bus, but the bus was very late. After that, everything went smoothly and everything is included, which is wonderful. The guide was knowledgable. The stingray experience was the best! I wish there were turtles or more sea life, but we had a great time.

Prepare for a long day 7am to 7pm. The park is fun however most of the activities are upsell and not included in price. For the price of the admission we expected better. The slide/lighthouse were cool and the lazy river was good but the caves and other activities were not great and to many people to actually sleep in a hammock. Overall good not great.

WE had a great time. It is a great Snorkel waterpark with a lot of fun things to do. Just be sure to use plenty of the sunblock they give you as you are not allowed to bring in your own. For the protection of the critters.
