What To Expect

Make your way to Xel-Ha aquatic theme park, located only 5 miles (9 km) from Tulum, anytime between its opening hours of 9am and 6pm. In order to take advantage of the park’s numerous attractions, a full day at Xel-Ha is recommended.

On arrival, you’ll receive your all-inclusive wristband and a park map to help you navigate. Spend the day satisfying your appetite for adventure on the Salpichanga Ziplines, the Floating Bridge, and during a bike ride through the Land of Huh.

Alternatively, relax during a river or snorkelling tour, flounder in the refreshing water of cenotes, or take a serene stroll around Chacah’s Garden. Throughout the day, revitalize with cold drinks from an open bar while relaxing on one of many shaded hammocks.

When hunger strikes, feast on an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring dishes inspired by Mexican and international cuisine.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Absolutely amazing! Natural wonder that was tons of fun. This is a must do experience at some point in your travels- nothing like this anywhere else in the world. The food, the service, and the set up made the water park even more impeccable. They have a river float area, tons of open water to snorkel and swim in, and lots of random fun activities like little hidden caves and cliff jumps. The park has an intelligent design, which makes it easy to relax- for example, if you drop off belongings in the locker area at the start of the river float, they automatically take them for you to the end of the river float so you’re not running around wasting time finding your stuff. Signs also tell you how long walks are to the next bathroom. There are lockers and life jackets throughout the park so you never have to backtrack or worry about not grabbing something.

Sorry Xel-Ha, we had a great time there and the food was fantastic. The rating is for Viator not honoring their low price guarantee. I found numerous vendors, including the Xcaret website, which sold tickets for much less than Viator. Save money and don’t buy it on Viator

First time visiting Mexico. The park was big and had lots of great opportunities to explore and experience lots of water related activities. We had a great time! Food and beverage service was very good. I thought the price was very reasonable when compared to expensive theme parks. Making it all inclusive, kept everything easy, convenient and it was all well done. Staff was excellent!

The slide is not safe! And I warn other tourist. You can become very disoriented at bottom. You will not realize when it is end of slide and end up underwater flailing, not knowing where up is. A lifeguard had to pull me out as I was choking with water in my sinus. It is not about whether you can swim or not! This is dangerous and would never be allowed in states.

If you buy your ticket on line you have to wait in a line to get bracelets. The line was agonizing and slow. It took about a half an hour to get into the park.

I will start by saying beautiful location. Loved the snorkeling and cliff jumping. If you are a very patient person and are not expecting to drink anything while there then this place would be perfect for you. My family of 6 went, kids are 13-21. Very lucky I did not have younger kids there because that would have been hard. The lines for any food or drink were 45min+. Yes to get one drink. Picture 45-100 people in line with one bartender with each person ordering 5 drinks each because they know they will never get service again. We were even willing to buy drinks at gift shop out of cooler but they did not sell them. At arrival waited inline for 40 minutes. At end of day waitied 40 minutes for taxi. Again, my kids are older, but with little kids, 85 degrees out and no drinks, constantly waiting it would have been rough. I am glad they got to see it, but we will not be going back again.

Amazing all inclusive water park! First time in Xel Ha after booking as a recommendation from another friend and it did not disappoint! There were so many things to do! My group did the scenic bike ride to the river, did the lazy river and cliff jumps as well as the slide and snorkeling. The included buffet was excellent and had endless pina coladas! Definitely will return and recommend to others!

We all had a great time at the park everyone very friendly & welcoming. Having to find our own ride was a pain. But it worked out.. luckily but cost more. Snorkeling was fun but not crystal clear waters & not as many fish as I thought there would be. One day is not enough to do everything. Many of the activities are extra money. So be prepared for that.

Well worth the day trip. So many things to do from snorkelling to tube floating down the lazy river. The food and drinks included allow you to spend a full day with plenty of time for eating and drinking as well.
