What To Expect

Following pickup at your hotel in the morning, board the comfortable tour vehicle and settle in for the ride to Puerto Morelos. Get to know your small group while enjoying coffee, pastries, and chocolate. Learn about the unusual geological formations that you are about to visit, a network of underground caves connected by subterranean rivers.

Each cenote represents a different element: earth, water, fire, and air. Hear about the Mayan legends and mysticism that surround these sinkholes and the myth of the alux, or spirit beings that guard the cenotes.

Rappel down the rock walls of Lu’um (earth), a young and semi-open cenote. Here, water flows horizontally and connects to the aquifer through tunnels and caves. Finally, zoom along parallel ziplines at Lik’ and feel your adrenaline pumping on this high-flying adventure across the pool. Enjoy swimming in the slow-flowing water of this ancient cenote, which is fully exposed to the lush vegetation due to its collapsed walls.

K’aak (fire) is an open cenote with underground currents, surrounded by vertical walls and interesting landscapes. Interact with nature as you paddle a kayak or float in an inner tube amid the verdant jungle. Visit Ha’ (water), a cavern cenote with aquatic fauna and beautiful rock formations, and explore underwater gardens of water lilies in a stunning natural setting. Snorkel in calm waters with great visibility as you come face to face with colorful fish.

Eat a gourmet picnic lunch accompanied by beer, water, wine, and coffee before returning to your hotel for drop-off.

We had an excellent time on this Cenote tour. Pick up and drop off at our resort in the hotel zone went smoothly. The different cenotes were beautiful and each experience so fun. Was adventurous enough for those looking for a thrill, but also had plenty to see and do if you aren't a daredevil. Zip lines, rappelling, water slides, kayaks and snorkeling in beautiful surroundings with an excellent lunch and great guide mean I highly recommend this trip. Our guide was Angel aka #papamonkey and he was great! He was helpful, informative and fun! Would definitely request him if I were to do the tour again Recommendation: wear water shoes instead of flip flops. Bring a change of dry clothes. Bring a waterproof pouch for your phone/camera if you want to take photos. I wore a swim shirt/rashie with my swim suit. It wasn't 100% necessary, but I'm glad I had it. Water was not freezing, but it is cool. Bring cash if you think you might want souvenirs or the photo package. They do take credit cards for those things, but it goes much faster with cash.

Epic From Start to Finish
Memphis_W, Sept 2023
From the bumpy dirt road ride in, the perfectly timed and presented snack & lunch, clean & even picturesque restrooms, the engaging guides to the incredible jungle and water experience, the while trip was epic. Despite having to move so many people through the various activities, each was so enjoyable that we didn't mind how quick each one was. They packed way more fun & awesomeness into this experience than we expected and would definitely recommend it. The kayaking was beautiful and shirt enough that we weren't too exhausted for the rest. We had multiple opportunities to muster up the guts to jump and try different poses on thd ziplines. 🫶🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Photos Scam still had Fun though...
Jennifer_C, Sept 2023
Do not purchase the photos! They lied to me about the price and the code they provided did not work so I did not receive my pics! Xcaret customer service's response says their technical team is maintaining their photos which is slowing down their photo processing and will get back to me when it's resolved... Also note: when purchasing the pics they had to split the total payment into 3 separate transactions... I was getting really annoyed because the photographer didn't explain this to me until after he did the first one. This really ruined the experience for me... It felt sketchy and was not explained properly. Other Tips: Bring Water Shoes! I should've listened to the reviews and brought some myself. You will have to walk through a dirt path in the jungle. If you do forget to bring them, they sell them at $27. Bring a water bottle! The only time you will get water or liquids is during snack time and lunch. In between all the trips, there was no access for water. I guess the only pro I can say about my experience is that the overall activities were still really fun! For people who enjoy having a bit of adrenaline and being in the water then this tour is for you! Our tour guide was great and gave us a bunch of confidence and energy throughout the entire day. The only activity that was disappointing was snorkeling. The water wasn't clear and it was in a pretty small swimming hole. Honestly I would still recommend this tour, but just be wary of the photos, bring your own waterproof case, water shoes & water!
Amazing!

My husband and I had a great day exploring four different cenotes on our honeymoon! Our tour guide, Gabriel, and our photographer, Jesus, were both AWESOME, and they totally helped make our experience great. Ziplining and cliff jumping were our favorite activities. The guided descent into the cave cenote doesn't seem like it will be much but is so stunning that it was my favorite part of the day. My husband and I agreed that the snorkeling was pretty meh. Overall, we had a great day.
A+++ GUIDE and really fun even tho it rained.

Swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, slides, ziplining and cliff diving. What more can you ask for!? Some great tips in the reviews and definitely worth the trip. Will definitely be a long-term memory, and making a lasting impression with our teens. So fun!

Book this…you will not be disappointed
shari_o, Apr 2023
If you love water and adventure then book this trip.. you will not be disappointed. Our tour guide was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. A few tips: 1. Bring a change of clothes. 2. Wear swim shoes. 3. Do not wear sunscreen, perfumes, etc.. anything that can mess with the eco system. 4. Bring a backpack for your belongings. 5. Bring a waterproof phone case that floats if you want to take your own pictures. You leave your belongings in the bus. It’s safe. They proved towels. The lunch was good. They will also provide goggles at one of the Cenotes. If you want to wear Goggles all the time then bring your own.
Really good tour. Well...
Simon_B, Apr 2023
Really good tour. Well organised. We visited four cenotes. The van was comfortable. The timing at each cenote was appropriate, didn't feel too rushed. There were good breaks for coffee and lunch, all food included. The cenotes were also varied, so it was good to experience different types of cenotes. The tour guide Liz was very kind and lovely. The only thing to bear in mind is please bring your own wet shoes, otherwise you'll have to buy them from them and you can find way cheaper if you buy on your own.
Best Tour Ever
Katelyn_M, Feb 2023
This was the BEST tour! Saw a total of 5 cenotes, each stopping point was clean and well kept, and had a restroom and changing rooms! The bus ride was approximately 1 hour away from the first cenote. Had so much fun zip lining, snorkeling, kayaking, rappelling, and then the last cenote had a water slide, zip line, and a cliff jump! Overall this experience was our BEST tour (we also did Isla Mujeres and Chichen Itza previous days) and would highly recommend. Lunch was excellent as well, they also provided snacks and hot cocoa after the first cenote which was amazing!!! Tour guide Elliott was hilarious and we loved him so much:)
5 star excursion!
