Fun but way too expensive

Was fun but very poor value for money. We were rushed around the market and into the kitchen. Cooking was fun but it was just so expensive for what you got. We enjoyed ourselves but felt totally ripped off especially knowing how cheap these foods are in Mexico

Great experience and worth the price! Got to look around a local market and pick the ingredients for cooking as well as having a traditional breakfast. Cooking class was good and taught well by Nassim. I would do it again!

Too basic for the price. Carlos was amazing as was the driver but the cooking is too basic and not the best experience. I have done cooking classes in other countries which are much cheaper and better. Would have been better to make tortilla dough from scratch and more hands on, Carlos did a lot of cooking and it was not very interactive and for the price it was just a bit too basic. I didn’t learn anything walking away from it and didnt experience any new dishes. It said we would make the cocktail but they were made for us. I think this experience is a more behind the scenes than a cooking class and it is expensive

We had a GREAT time!!! Going to the local food market was awesome, and our guide Carlos was so engaging and informative. He even gave us time to shop downtown while he prepped the ingredients. During the class he explained the history behind the food and the way it is prepared. The tour included 1 margarita per person...they were so good, we ended up buying another round :) I'm still waiting to get the recipes emailed to me, hoping this review is read through Viator and they can contact me. Highly recommend this experience!! Different than your average food tour, this was a much more 1:1 experience and we left feeling a little more connected to the culture.

Wonderful experience! We were able to shop and experience the local market, buy fresh masa, cheese and produce, and then learn to prepare it under the watchful eye of Carlos.
