Well worth stepping away from the usual touristy stuff to immerse yourself in the real bustling city with all it's diversity.
The only advice I will give is not have the tour on a Sunday because the tastings offered won’t be available.
He deserves some pay raise from the company if that is possible!!

Sebastian was an excellent tour guide. He arrived on time, was professional , warm and knowledgeable. He has excellent recall of dates and historical events and also gives fair commentary on contemporary issues affecting Cape Townians. I found his explanations fair and balanced, particularly regarding the complicated racial history of SA, particularly the Apartheid era. He showed us to excellent places to eat and gave us inside tips that helped us navigate other tours we’d booked. 10/10 - I recommend with no reservations.

This would have been a good tour but probably with a guide that knew a little more about the places we visited. Also would suggest making it shorter than 4 hours. Two hours in the castle was too much

This tour was the highlight of our stay in Cape Town. Sebastian is a great tourguide and the tour gave us the complete overview about the city. We have seen some hidden gems and Sebastian told us a lot about the history and the current live. With his personal stories and views, it has been a fantastic afternoon while our relaxing walk through the different areas of downtown Cape Town. Can highly recommend this tour for everyone - even for people they don´t like walking tours. By the way: we always felt safe and we are now experienced for crossing the streets.

Rushdi was a great tour guide. He was very communicative and helpful prior to the tour. The tour was very informative and casual. No particular part. Subastion was a wonderful guide. He went out of his way to make our experience great despite so many closures from Covid 19. We got in lots of exercise😀. He deserves some pay raise from the company if that is possible!!!

I would recommend this tour, Rusdhi is very passionate about his country and his hometown (Cape Town), and he made our tour a very pleasant and informative visit. We got to go to Table Mountain, Signal Hill, the beach, downtown, etc areas that we were not even expecting to see. I will recommend Rusdhi any time. Thanks for all your help

I only had a spare day in Cape Town in January 2020 and decided to join this tour to get a picture of the city. Nathan (Stopford) was the guide cum driver. It was such an impressive tour! We have indeed visited a lot of places in just several hours - how fruitful the tour was! Not only we went to the landmarks in the city centre such as City Hall, Castle of Good Hope, District Six, Bo-kaap, V&A, etc., Nathan also went for an extra mile to drive me (supposed it is a walking tour) to some scenic spots to view Table Mountain, as well as to the West Coast for a relaxing coffee time in a beautiful seaside backdrop. We went to the Old Biscuit Mill too and interacted with the staff of the prominent Test Kitchen. Of course, it was not the intention to deep-dive into each spot in just a few hours, but the tour indeed offered a comprehensive and wonderful picture of the lively city. Love this much!

The city tour we booked with Withlocals was well organized and informative. We got an great overview about the big city with visiting of diffent parts and their history and things to do and see. Rushdi is a nice guy who tried to get closer his city to us in an informative and humous way.
Guide is a liar and Viator did nothing to consider my complaints

Please be cautious when booking this excursion as the guide is a liar that castle entrance is not included but in the excursion details, it is mentioned included. Also, when asking for refund for the castle entrance not visited because of guide, Viator does not care and never came back to me. Viator just don't care for its customers. Booking is at your own risk.
Our favorite tour in Cape Town

This was actually our favorite tour. Dieter, our tour guide was amazing and very versatile. He showed us spots around the city that we would have never found by ourselves and weren't in the tour guides. He was patient and let us set the pace as we tend to not like to be rushed if we find things that interested us. He took group photos which he later emailed to us (nice bonus!). Well worth stepping away from the usual touristy stuff to immerse yourself in the real bustling city with all it's diversity. Many thanks, so memorable!

Deze tour werd niet begeleid door Nathan die oorspronkelijk geboekt was maar door vervangster. Deze dame was onvoldoende voorbereid, had onvoldoende kennis. De eerste helft van onze tour viel mee, de rest zinloos. Dus, het geld niet waard.
