Great experience for people who love the ocean

Great experience in general. Food was great, boat was clean, snorkeling was decent, and the staff were very friendly. Please plan accordingly, Colombian sun is very strong midday and you will get a LOT of sun.

Trip to Rosario Islands on 4/24

Overall I did enjoy the catamaran and the experience. The boat looked to be in good shape, well maintained and the staff was very nice. We had two stops to snorkel but you don’t get to go on the islands due to the boats size. You would have to make a short swim on the last stop. They sell beer, wine and mixers at a fair price and you can pay by credit card at the end. They play a variety of music but it’s not so loud that it gets annoying on an 8 hour ride. There is plenty of space to find shade on the boat. My three recommendations for the future is this. #1 - Write a better description of the food that you serve and show some photos of it. I did a Greek Isles catamaran in September 2022 and they did a fantastic job of the description. #2 - Please provide the guests a brief description of each islands and types of marine life we could see if any. #3 - When you serve the lunch, let the guests know where to form a line and what to do. (nothing was said on this trip) guests just started lining up. Also, the sides you had on the folding tables didn’t really go with the overall meal. I don’t understand what the guacamole was supposed to go with. It seemed kind of a set up for hamburgers. Last thing, why did you not have lemonade or other soft drinks restocked for a Monday morning cruise? Overall, it’s a good experience. It was fun and family friendly. Yes, I would consider going again.

Was a nice day. The boat is massive and new (largest / nicest catamaran I’ve been on). It was a lot of fun. Lunch was really good. They play music the entire trip. Just to make others aware, because I didn’t see it explicitly in the description, you do NOT dock on any islands (but you can swim to the beach, which the boat anchors close by to) and they DO sell alcohol on the boat.

Not really an island excursion!

The excursion was fine. It was a nice day on a boat with 2 stops where you can ascend into the water if you choose. There was snorkeling gear provided but not much to see. (I think we may have scared the fish away) If the excursion was billed as it actually was, it would have met the expectation. I suppose you can see Rosario Island. You just never actually get there. 😩

Magical catamaran ride

The boat was a nice size and in good condition. There were multiple bathrooms that were larger than typically found on a boat. Lunch was okay and the drinks were good. The water was beautiful, especially at the second stop. It is worth noting that this catamaran trip does not stop at any beaches. It just anchors in the water on two different stops.

Catamaran— packed and mediocre snorkeling

Beautiful boat but way too packed. There was no where to relax and we felt totally crammed. There were no fish or corals in the areas we were taken to snorkel. Food was not great.

A wonderful day trip to the Rosario Islands

We arrived at the pier across from the Clock Tower just after 8am. There was a big line up of passengers but everyone boarded quickly and on time. The crew and captain were friendly, asked our preference for lunch (seafood, chicken or veggie rice), gave out corresponding wristbands and then we were on our way. Be warned- they play a lot of loud music! They don’t accept cash payments on board so make sure you bring a credit card if you want to buy alcohol. You can tip with cash. To sign out masks and snorkels you need to give an ID which they keep until the equipment is returned. The first stop was somewhere off the coast of Isla Grande and was the best for seeing colourful fish and corals. The time went quickly! It didn’t seem like an hour and a half in the water. Then we travelled to Barú for the second stop which started with a really good lunch and the option to swim to shore and walk on a small strip of coastline. Even though we never stopped at a public or private beach, guys with boats came out to the ship to sell different things. On the return to Cartagena the wind picked up and the seas were choppy. The people sitting at the bow and on the nets got soaked. If you want to stay dry avoid the bow! We moored at the docks in Cartagena harbour at 4pm and disembarked. Bring towels, hats, lots of sunscreen and be sun safe! Some passengers were really burnt by the end of the day. We sat in a covered part of the ship and still got burns on our backs from swimming. For the price and value this is a great day trip to the Rosario Islands and Barú.

It was a really nice day. The snorkeling was great! We saw a lot of different fishes (not very big but colorful) and corals. The lunch was amazing, good portions, very tasty, lots of vegetables and fruits. I wish we could keep fruits all day... :) I was travelling solo and met some great people on that tour. A small group was starting to be really drunk and sometimes annoying at the end of the day but it was mostly ok (compared to other 'party boats'). Will definitely recommend.

We didn’t actually stop off at the island so it was more of a boat trip but we harboured near them and you could swim to shore at one spot. However the food was amazing and so fresh and the pina coladas and music were fab! Would definitely recommend!
