Highlight of our trip! We had a fantastic time in Cartagena, but this was a highlight for sure! We came not knowing what to expect as we had two small children with us. To our delight, there was a very young 'ship captain' on board and he was wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful with my fearful littles. Then ended up having the time of their lives: Driving the boat, fighting pirates, and dancing under the stars. Drinks were flowing, the music created a wonderful vibe. We danced, we laughed, we explored the ship, and made wonderful memories. To note: there was only one costume that everyone got to try on and play with if they chose. (After the other comments I read, I knew to look for more, but that was it unfortunately!) A collection of pirate flags downstairs with the bathroom and bar. 10/10 would highly recommend. The tour is what you make it - and we made wonderful lifetime memories!

Beautiful, fun, and memorable

We got stuck in stop-dead traffic and nearly missed the boat—in fact, the boat had left the dock by the time we got there. They came back for us, and I’m so glad they did. The trip was fun and beautiful. We got to climb the crows nest, and the staff was quick to replenish drinks. A good mix of beauty and silliness. Highly recommended!

We loved the boat the crew and the people joining us. from a family with a baby over some birthday celebrations to us. The crew was very friendly and helping and always up for a joke (even if our Spanish and their English created some comms difficulties .

This was one of the best things we did in Cartagena! It was amazing to see the city from the water, get a feel for the area, and enjoy refreshing beverages and fun music. The staff is very friendly and I will always book with them when I take people to Cartagena in the future. It was family-friendly, not a crazy drunken party (although you can drink all you want), there were costumes for staff and guests that wanted them, and we even "shot cannons" at other pirate ships (firecrackers). Just book this, you'll be glad you did. Thank you, Jose Caro, Jose Andres, and Xavier for a great sunset cruise!

We had such a fun time on this sunset cruise. It was a very small group on our sailing which made it even better for us. The drinks were flowing, we learned about some of the sites we were seeing, and then we even got some music and dancing on the way back. The crew, Jose and Javier in particular, were so much fun to chat with. They made sure we got pictures all over the boat and kept us entertained the entire trip.

This is THE SHIP to do a sunset sail. It’s small and intimate. We loved it! Crew took videos and pics of us and since there is only room for like 12 or so - everyone on board is VIP! Way better than sitting on a crowded, packed boat like the other sunset tours. I highly recommend!

Ok but not exactly a Pirate cruise.

There was no Pirate flags, outfits etc. It was just a ship. They didn't actually speak English, it was a recording from the owner but he was in the United states. The staff did bring good rum/drinks and kept them coming but they all looked super bored. They brought out a couple of Umbrellas to shield the rain but not for everyone. It was an ok experience but I did expect more.

Sorry about the rain, I will try and pray harder next time, and hopefully God will send in out of our tour path!!! It would have been a perfect time for you to go downstairs and check out the pirate museum in the saloon.

A chill afternoon boat ride into the sunset...

I feel this tour allowed for a more personal experience given there were only 12 passengers on the boat, plus the crew. We saw other boats that looked like they had so many people on them that you would have barely been able to move. Not this one! We were able to move all over the boat with the captain suggesting different locations and poses as he took pictures for us. This included letting everyone who wanted to sit at the wheel as if they were driving the ship. The boat also had a good sound system and the captain asked each passenger for song suggestions so there was a variety of music. We arrived at the point where the last skyscrapers jut out into the water just before sunset and then turned to leisurely head back to the dock. The cruise was very smooth and I did not hear of anyone complaining about feeling ill. The crew also ensured everyone who wanted drinks had them at all times. They brought the drinks to us- there was no waiting in line. All of the crew was really friendly.

Underwhelming

I'll start by saying that given the overall positive reviews of this tour, this may have been an off-day for them. In any case, it was not what we expected. The english speaking guide/captain was unable to make it so a audio recording of his narration was (supposed to be) played. Three little snippets were played, with 2 being duplicate. The crew on board were pleasant, but aside from bringing drinks, did not interact with the passengers at all. I was hoping to get more history/ understanding of what we were looking at, etc. but it was limited at best to the two, minute-ish long audio recordings we heard. This on top of the fact that the boat was late in picking us up, just left a bad taste in my mouth. The best way to describe it was boring. I have been on several similar tours and there is always great energy and passion in sharing the sites/ information about the city. This fell short. Lastly, if you aren't going to be able to deliver the full experience, due to whatever reason, you shouldn't be charging the full price.

The service on this boat was the best we have had in our entire 9 days in Columbia. We were happy to have found this hidden gem as we looked at adjacent boats jam packed with people with no room to take pictures and just enjoy the moment. This is definitely best option for sunset tour.
