The entire experience was amazing and is absolutely recommended!! Our driver/guide Gilberto was perfect. The ride was smooth, he gave a very thorough breakdown of what to expect, he was super friendly and overall helpful. The people at the Volcano were equally friendly and super helpful and definitely contributed to the experience. The volcano was EVERYTHING!!! Definitely something different to try out! The views were absolutely breathtaking.

We did a private tour with Carlos (driver) and Gabi (guide). We couldn’t have had a better experience. We got to witness the true rural side of Colombia and learned so many new things from Gabi. She felt more like a friend than a guide. Recommend 10X over!!!

We went to Totem Volcano with 2 families, a group of 11 - adults and children - and we had the best most unique experience! It was so much fun trying something new and going on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure together with your family and friends. Kristine was our tour guide and she was so wonderful! Knowledgable, friendly, easy going, fabulous English, and made the entire day super lovely. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Gilberto spoke clear English and did a lot of translation for us between the locals. He was very polite, well informed and went the extra mile to ensure myself and my friends were comfortable and safe. The van was air conditioned with comfortable seats. This tour company timed the tour so that we would not see crowds at the Mud volcano so we were able to spend at least 30 mins inside the volcano. It was epic and money well spent! The tour also included an extra touch of playing dominoes with the locals! It was a very memorable experience.

Our translator and driver was Gilberto he was very informative, patient and helpful. I'm happy that I read the other reviews saying that you should do private and early because honestly the one on one experience was just what we needed. Make sure you have Colombia currency you will need it. Towel and change of clothes. The massage in the volcano is so worth the experience and you can't relive it. The pink sea was very nice the explanation of the process was very awesome even though it wasn't pink we saw some pink but it was explained to us what happened. I'm still satisfied and happy with the experience also when you are done with walking the pink sea get some coconut water from the nice ladies it was so yummy and I normally do not drink coconut water but it was so worth it. Make sure you have small denominations of the Colombia money. If you are contemplating about doing this excursion don't hesitate just do it you won't regret the experience

This tour was an amazing experience worth every penny! Gilberto was an amazing guide! I speak Spanish but my teenagers do not, he did an amazing job explaining the process and all the steps. He picked us up on time which is something I appreciate, very friendly and professional as well, we skipped the crowds and where the first group there, we all got massages in the mud, there are people assisting you with pictures, handling your clothes and washing you in the lagoon after. If you don’t like to be touched this is not the adventure for you. Gilberto helps you manage the whole tipping situation and even suggest what’s the acceptable range. My sons flip flop ripped and he took the time to find a place to buy another pair. We had breakfast on one of the road side restaurants, this is definitely where the locals eat, it was delicious, we spent $8 bucks with me and two hungry teenagers. Last stop was the salt ocean, got to learn about the process, the water was not pink because it is not the season due to the rain, the ideal time to see it its in March. It was still great to see the locals and how they live, a very humbling experience. Gilberto is an amazing guide! You will not regret booking this tour.

This experience was absolutely amazing!!! I cannot recommend this enough. Everything from the drive and pickup to mud volcano to pink salt everything was amazing. Everyone who is in cartagena should be doing this tour. Bring a plastic bag for your wet clothes. Try to bring smaller pesos (2’s, 5’s, and 10’s) for tips for the locals in COL PESOS! You will not forget this experience.

This tour is best done as a private experience. It’s only you and the people you book with so you really get a VIP experience throughout the entire tour. The locals carried our belonging, gave us massages in the volcano, helped us rinse off in the lagoon… we even had a Colombian beer while relaxing in the mud but be sure to bring plenty of colombian pesos to tip the locals (there were 6 ppl that assisted us)and pay for the beer, they will accept USD however it is difficult for them to find a way to exhange it as they live in the village. We also missed out on being able to stop for local food for lunch as USD was not accepted at the little spots on the side of the road. Gilbert was our guide and he was fantastic, very knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating. Be aware, there are dead bugs/flys in the mud and it feels a little awkward when you first get in, but once you get past the feel of it and focus on the scenery, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. Unfortunately, as there are many variables to the pink sea being pink, it was not pink when we toured it but it was still nice to visit and be educated on the process.

This was one of the best experiences we’ve had!!! First of all, if you’re deciding between a group tour and private DO THIS PRIVATE TOUR. We got picked up exactly at 7am and got to the volcano before anyone else. We had the entire experience to ourselves. They said with the larger group tours it could be a long wait in the heat and tons of people in the mud with you. Our guide was great and made this experience extra special for us.
