1st let me Thank Mr. Adalberto for a wonderful experience. He was so knowledgeable and entertaining. Gave us insight on so much of the city. Thru-out the tour various people stopped and told us we were in such good hands with Adalberto. It was really great from beginning to end.

Willy was a great guide. Tour was well planned and we learned a great deal about Cartegena. Only suggestion would be for the tour operator to confirm the day before to give the traveler comfort that everything is set.

Willy our tour guide was great. I recommend that you go early morning as it heats up midday. Painted walls in Getsemani and local street vendors along the way.Be ready to take lots of pictures.

A great city tour

I had a great time. My guide was Jhon Serrato. I had a private tour. Jhon was personable, kind, patient, knowledgeable and he made the tour so much fun. Jhon patiently took good pictures of me. He answered my questions and made suggestions for making my visit to Cartagena even more enjoyable. I felt very comfortable with Jhon . I also sampled foods and Colombian coffee. Jorge was AMAZING. He was so much fun and had so much energy and love for Columbia. He kept it at a speed that worked for us.. he stopped for us to ask questions, helped us with shopping and negotiating prices. The history was so interesting and he would check in with us yo make sure we understood everything. The empanadas he bought for us to try were sooooo good! And come on, SLOTHS!!! What? How cool is that!?? Amazing creatures and he made sure we had time to film them and observe. It was incredible. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience

I’m very happy I chose to go on this tour to see the walled city and Getsemani. I was lucky enough to have a personal tour guide José Miguel who was able to show me the entire city. He was very informative he knew all the history of Cartagena from the wars, meanings behind monuments, architecture, explained artwork, the cuisine, and culture. He prevented us from the merchants taking advantage of us and negotiated good prices for souvenirs and food we bought. Some street food and drinks were also included in the tour. Me and my boyfriend was the only ones on the tour so we had his undivided attention. He also spoke English very well and was easy to understand. This tour is a must when visiting Cartagena and I would definitely recommend José Miguel

Poor communication

I am writing to say sadly we could never find the tour guide for this event. We tried calling several times to clarify the location of the guide and never found him. In the future it would be best to give very explicit directions to the meeting point. We waited at the cruise area, then at the port exit and in the taxi area. After 1 1/2 hours we gave up. We have used Viator several times, including the port use before Cartagena and have never had a problem. Please look into this issue so others don't have the experience we had. We walked through Getsemani and la Ciudad Amurallada, learning bits and pieces about the social, cultural and political history of Cartagena. We weren't able to have a snack, but we certainly enjoyed some iced cold lemonade-- a respite on a rather hot day. We were even able to see a sloth in action at the city park. Excellent Personal Tour

This was a very interesting and informative tour, our guide Alberto was very knowledgeable and his English was excellent, I specifically picked this cause it was personal and not with a group, Alberto picked us up from our hotel and brought us back at the end. Wear comfy shoes, hat, bring cash for pics with the locals, or to buy souvenirs and for water, its very hot and humid. Please ask for Alberto when booking, I highly recommend him.
