Our tour with Jhon Serrato was fantastic. We learned about history, food and culture in Cartagena. We explored so much of Cartagena in a half of a day. I recommend this tour to any person new to Cartagena. Our tour guide was amazing.

Guide with experience and many stories But need a little more liveliness And English speaking is a little bit hard to understand for non English peoples Also the lunch was at the end of the tour… but after 5 hours of walking we would have like to eat before and get some energy

This Tour Is A Must!

This is an excellent tour if it's your first time visiting Cartagena! Raúl was our tour guide and he was phenomenal! He contacted us prior to the tour to introduce himself, to let us know his arrival time and provided us with tips on how to prepare for the tour (wear walking shoes, hat, water, sunglasses). Throughout the tour Raúl provided us with the history of Cartagena and answered any questions we had. Since it was very hot, he made sure we were feeling ok during the tour and asked if we needed any breaks (We didn't, but we appreciated his concern). We were lucky to have a private tour, so several times during the tour he'd ask if we were interested in going to certain places, instead of just going, which we liked! This was a "must do" tour for us and Raúl was the perfect tour guide for us. It's mainly a walking tour, so keep that in mind when booking. It's full of Cartagena's history and we explored several areas. If this is what you're looking for then this tour is for you! Thank you Raúl for making this tour an enjoyable one!

Excellent tour. On this tour you will get to see and learn about the history of cartagena. Please wear comfortable shoe, clothing and wear a hat . Our tour guide Raul was very knowledgeable and he made us feel comfortable. We recommend that everyone try it.

The tour guide was great. He was very knowledgeable about all three locations. I loved the views from the pope convent and the fort.i allowed me to see the entire city. And the walking tour of the walled city was interesting. The only negative was the heat. I was hot .I guess next time I will come prepared for that.

We had a great time. Jhon Serrato was very friendly, knowledgeable, and had great positive experience. He made the tour extremely enjoyable and memorable, and fun for us. I'm happy that we had the Private tour as I was able to ask a lot of questions. We learned a lot about the history of Cartagena and Colombia. The views were spectacular! The local lunch was delicious. I highly recommend this trip to anyone that wants to learn about Cartagena and Colombia's history as well as see amazing views!

We experienced the old city walking tour on our first full day in Cartagena yet. Overall it was a thorough introduction to the city, however, our guide spoke English with such a heavy accent… it was very difficult to understand him at times. Additionally, we were disappointed that several of our stops (taking up quite a bit of tour time) were shopping stops that we did not request .. these stops were obviously planned to try to encourage us to purchase things from people the guide and/or his company had connections with. For the price we paid, (appx. $280 US dollars for three people .. tour price US$250 and a strongly encouraged extra $10 a person for a tip.. totaling $280) it seemed a lot for what we received . Had we been able to understand the tour guide better, the price might have been a little more acceptable.

The first part of tour was great at San Felipe castle and Popa, but after bc we didn’t have breakfast, we were asking our guide to stop for taking some snacks, coffee, I was not interesting in market place with handcrafts, after one hour walking, I asked him again about food and he told sorry I forgot that you are hungry. In our tour was included some snacks as I understood. So we decided to stop our tour and cancel the second part. We went to restaurant to eat and continue to enjoy the city by ourselves. This is individual tour , it’s not a group tour , and guide needs to feel what clients want at this moment We had same city tours in Bogota and Medellin and we had amazing time there , what I can’t say about Tour in Cartagena

The tour was great, Raul was great, my mom is an older lady and walks pretty slowly and he lead the tour at her pace, very patient. He told us a lot about history of Cartagena and showed us all landmarks of the city. Definitely a great tour.

Safe and at the right pace w/ Nelson

Nelson took a great care of us. Going at the right pace so that my 75-year old father could keep up with ease and take videos of everything :) He was also very protective and helped steer away the many vendors that constantly tried to sell us something. I felt safe and had a great time discovering Cartagena for the first time. Much better experience then a group tour. Thank you Nelson! Tip to cruise travelers: trust me it’s worth the money to pay for WiFi on the boat (I know the $20+/day is ridiculous) or even better is to have a cell service off the boat so they you have means to communicate - otherwise it can get unnecessarily stressful and chaotic to find each other/meet up. Not to mention it’ll be your lifeline if things go really wrong (not that they did in the excursion w/ Gran Columbia). Be smart, plan :)

We had a private tour of Cartagena with various stops along the way. The first part of the tour to the San Felipe Castle was in car and the remainder stops is a walking tour. Everything is pretty close together. The weather was not great but our guide made the best of it. He was knowledgeable, funny and a great picture taker. I would definitely recommend this tour.
