Wear a hoodie or bring a scarf to protect Your ears, is my advice.
We explored a lava tube, explored mount Etna (cable car and bus to top significantly extra (65euro pp) but very worth it- bring a jacket!
in summer time it is not easy especially because you visit taormina in the middle of the day and the heat can be exhausting.

One of the best features of this tour was the guide. We had a multilingual guide that had great local spots to visit as part of the tour. He was able to recommend local places to eat and drink along the way, especially in Catania, as Andrea is a native. I highly recommend him if you can catch him before he takes off for holiday in another country.

The trip up to Etna was really amazing. It was nice to have a tour with just eight people in the group. Giuseppe our guide from EtnaTribe, was really knowledgeable and friendly. He involved all the members of the group. The day covered so many different experiences, it far exceeded our expectations.

The tour guide (Alessandro) was very knowledgable, professional, personable and spoke English very well. He was willing to stop for photos or places of interest to anyone in the group who asked. He went above and beyond. We enjoyed the tour so much we booked another tour with the same company and are hoping to have the same tour guide. It was a great experience!

Good and informative trip, guide Giuseppe knowledgeable and very accommodating. Went out his way to make trip enjoyable. Would recommend trip to others, especially with Giuseppe. It does state in info before going on trip that it would be extra for chair lift and bus up to Etna, but it would be good to know that it was €156 for two people on top of initial outlay. All being said we really enjoyed the trip.

We were very excited to join Lorenzo as our guid for our trip to Mt Etna & Taormina for the full day tour We left promptly at our meeting time as Lorenzo gathered and settled us in the van. Our travel to Mt Etna was a scenic and adventurous drive while we were learning about the volcano, eruptions, challemges and the hood that come with the lava! The cave portion was short but very informative and quite amazing to see the lava formations and seeing the layers over centuries of eruptions and the beauty that grows after. We arrived at MtEtna base and Lorenzo offered jackets and sweaters for the 3 of us who didn’t have thick enough ones. Thank you! We were a group of 5 and we all decided to go (€78 extra Sept/23) up the cable car, 4x4 bud and take the crater tour. It was a beautiful site and absolutely breathtaking, even with the clouds! TIP— use the bathroom up where you get off the cable car before the last bus up to the plateau-it’s not busy like the main ticket area below!! After we stopped in Ragaina for local samplings. I was nicely surprised at the presentation at tables and small sampling plates. It was a nice break. We then left for Taormina. What a stunning cliff side village! We had 2 hrs to explore so 4/5 went to the city gardens to enjoy the gorgeous sea views while walking cliff side through a beautiful garden! Shade!! We then went down the Main Street for people watching, gelato and panini. Lorenzo gathered us back and we were returned to our meeting spot in Via Etna.

We had the best time! Definitely bring jacket, beanie (it gets cold up there!) and comfortable walking shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty for Mt Etna portion of the tour. My poor white sneakers turned grey. We had a choice of walking Silvestri Crater, riding cable car or riding quads. We chose cable car but there was still quite a bit of walking once we got off. Amazing scenery! Next was going inside a lava cave. Guide provided helmets so we wouldn’t bang our heads. Then he asked everyone in our group if they’d like to have lunch/wine tasting at a winery. I’m usually sketchy about these types of arrangements but must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was top notch and the wine served was explained well. This lunch was at an additional charge but well worth it. Last but not least, we had a fun group. Strangers became friends and truly believe it was due in part to our fantastic tour guide, Giuseppe C. He was funny, caring, knowledgeable and attentive to everyone in our group. As we were all talking amongst ourselves and laughing at lunch, I looked around at other tour groups there and they were awkwardly silent. We had free time in Taormina, our final stop, without Giuseppe, but our group of 8 stayed to explore the town together! Thank you Giuseppe for taking the time to create such a fun and carefree environment for all of us to enjoy!

Wonderful tour hosted by Giuseppe who looked after us from start to finish. Nothing too much trouble and he had a great sense of humour. Paid the extra and went to the top by cable car and 4 wheel drive, while not cheap if it's a clear day well worth the splurge.

Great experience! Stunning views, both on the Etna and in Taormina, as well as Isola Bella. My family and I got the chance to be taken in a four wheel drive by our guide, Pepe. He was very helpful and explained everything in a clear manner, about everything we asked and more!

Great tour with great views and great places, whats not to like? Nando (the guide) was fantastic and you could tell he loves his job and can answer all the questions you have about Sicily. He also makes sure you as a tourist is well taken cared

Peppe was very accommodating ,informative , social and went way beyond his duties to accommodate us. . He gave us as much time as we needed to visit Mount Etna. Bus coming down from Mt Etna was late for 30 minutes thus delaying the whole group. Me being a type A was anxious . He was cool. He took us to the most scenic route to Taormina even if it meant it took longer, just so he could show us the beautiful coast line. The tour should have ended 5 -6 hours earlier. But he gave us tons of his free time. By the time we ended our tour we all knew each other and we were having separation anxieties.!!!! It was fun. Thank you Peppe!!

The views from Mt. Etna were amazing. We had 2 hours to walk around Taormina which was just enough time to know that I would like to vacation there in the future. Our tour guide, Flo, is very knowledgeable and is passionate about Sicily. And even though we were delayed due to fires, she kept positive.
