Great excursion to mount Etna

Amazing Guide, Views and Tasting

Florence is the absolute best guide you could ever have. She is super nice, informative and helpful with everything. The wine/honey/olive oil tasting part is super fun, everything is very delicious and the prices to potentially buy the things you have tried are very much reasonable. The small hike on the craters (if you don't opt for the quad/ATV ride) is incredibly nice - the view, especially if the weather is clear (which it was for us) is incredible. Good to note that the wind can be quite strong up there but other than that, it is absolutely stunning. We were lucky to catch the sunset at the perfect timing to even take some pictures and get lost in the mesmerizing view it offered. Then we went down inside a small crater which was also super fun. The cave tour as a final stop was very interesting as it is basically a cave carved by the lava river and you can see the levels of how it was naturally created. Overall, this tour is a 100/10, our group was super fun, the views are amazing, you get to know a lot of interesting information about both Etna and the area, Florence the guide is incredibly nice and knowledgeable, the cave and the tasting is excellent. Couldn't recommend this more!

The tour was really amazing and with the info provided by the very knowledgeable guide there was also a lot to learn. When I booked the tour I was a bit worried about the tasting that comes with it, but that part was great to, with a very friendly tasting guide and great products which lead to us buying a bunch of them.

The wine tasting was amazing. You get to taste a lot of Sicilian appetisers and the wine was fantastic. However the tour on the Etna was disappointing. The guide told that there was a possibility to go on ATV, but it would cost an extra €50 pp. We didn’t want to pay that much extra, so we went with our tour guide to a lava cave. The cave was actually pretty small and you only walk a few meters inside the cave. After that we went to the craters and the guide told some little details about it, but mostly gave us free time to enjoy it by ourselves. That was not a big deal, but when we walked away he gave a tour on the craters to the Italian speaking guests. I would have liked to get also more information about the craters and the volcano. Moreover, we stayed as the east side of the mountain and the sunset is on the west side of the mountain, so it was not really a sunset tour since the sun went down on the other side and we only saw clouds. In conclusion, while reading the description of the tour I expected more, but the wine tasting was worthwhile.

Simone is very knowledgeable, great story teller, a born guide. He takes interest in all his guests and makes the trip so much more. The tasting was informative about local delicacies and tasty. You can even by products that you tasted. All our group decided to add the ATV experience of Mt Etna and it was amazing. To see the different terrains and go bush (Aussie here) was an experience to have. The sunset was spectacular and the lava cave was interesting. So far a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend and if you get Simone all the better 😁

Loved this tour! Nando was a fantastic tour guide, was lovely learning all the details about the volcano. We first did the tasting, and yes, it is a small tasting, but it does exactly what it says on the tin: you taste a couple of different wines, jams, olive oil and different shots that they produce on the farm. All very tasty! Second we went in the small cave, nothing to worry about or to be scared about, few minutes to look around and we were off. Then we did our Etna walk and Nando made sure he adapted to everyone's needs: one couple didn't wanna walk, so they stayed in the bar chalet and then he came with us and another couple, who wanted to walk. We walked over a couple of inactive craters, the view was clear, fantastic and even managed to have a little sunset, we were very lucky with the weather. Being scared of heights, I can't believe I hiked that high, very proud of myself and very happy I did it. If I can do it anyone can! The walk itself is nothing major or difficult, a light walk really, but like i said seriously thoroughly enjoyed this tour. One of the highlights of my sicilian trip!

This was one of the highlights of our 2-week Italy trip. Regarding the tour itself, definitely worth the price. The sights were beautiful and experience unforgettable. The food tasting was fantastic - we bought half the gift shop when we left! And the staff there were extremely welcoming. What made the experience even better was our guide, Giuseppe. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. He even dropped us off directly at the restaurant we had dinner at. Could not recommend this tour more!!!
