Amazing tour

Not the Best

I’ll be honest, food tours aren’t what they used to be. Our tour guide was amazing. She had an excellent knowledge of the city and culture, however, the food was a disappointment. We spent much of the tour walking and less eating. The samples at several of the stops were barely enough to really get one full. Also, the quality of food was subpar. Everything we sampled was relatively cheap which is unfortunate as there were many restaurants in the neighborhood with higher quality food.

Ciao Laura, thanks for your review. Sorry to read that the tour was a bit disappointing to you. As for the quality and quantity, what can we say, it's subjective. We only take travelers to the same places where our local guides would go to eat and drink. So maybe you don't really like the Catanese street food in general. As for the restaurants, you booked a STREET FOOD tour and traditional street food is not sold at comfy restaurants but only at stalls, family-run bakeries and delis, as you had the chance to experience. There are quality restaurants in the area, correct, but they don't serve the food you wanted to try by signing up to this tour :) Still thanks for your review, we will definitely discuss this internally and see what we can improve. cheers!

Great introduction to Catania!

We did the trip on our first day of arrival to Catania: It turned out to be a great introduction to the history center of the city. Our excellent guide Agatha showed us (and let us taste!) a great variety of local foods, in addition to different neighborhoods, including the fish market. The fact she also spoke some Norwegian (my native language) only added to the experience. :-) Highly recommended!
