My wife and I were on a cruise that stopped at Puntarenas for one day. Since we had never been to Puntarenas, we wanted to see as much as possible in the day we had. The 10 in 1 tour seemed to accomplish that. Upon meeting up with the representative from the 10 in 1 Puntarenas Highlights tour, we were informed that the tour would be shortened and we would not visit all of the sites described in the tour. We also would not stop for lunch, which was to be included in the 10 in 1 tour. The representative told us that we would receive a partial refund for the reduced itinerary. We were very disappointed in this development. We went on the tour anyway as we had no other options. My wife and I believe that since there were only 14 people on the tour in a bus that fit approximately 40 people, the tour operator did not think it was cost effective to go on the whole tour. So, he made it cost effective for himself at the expense of the customer. After the tour was over, my wife and I figured we saw only 5 of the 10 featured highlights on the tour. Also, the bus we were in was pretty dirty compared to other tour buses we were in on our trip. Our recommendation - avoid this tour as it appears to be a bait and switch operation.
