Chicago Sunset Cruise

I made reservations for the sunset cruise so my boyfriend and I could have a romantic boat ride. I paid a fair price, thinking that this would be smaller in size and spaced out evenly from people. However, we came to the port of entry and discovered that tickets were being sold the last minute to traveling tourists. We thought that this was reservation only and so people that paid last minute were able to get better seats than us on top of the boat. By the time we boarded, the only seats available were the seats below the deck. We thankfully sat next to friendly people, however this was not the experience I paid for. Not to mention that as the boat ride progressed, people who got good seats on the upper deck came to the lower deck and blocked our vision. There were some people who would even take seats on the lower deck if they were open. I will admit that we did get decent photos however I was super irritated that this was supposed to be a romantic, calm, quiet boat ride in terms of seating and spacing. But the fact that they were selling tickets last minute to tourist who were walking the streets place that above us who made reservations months in advance. Do not recommend, spend your money on a better boat.

Beautiful views of the Chicago skyline. There was a few architectural stories told on the way to the lake, after that it was all about the views.

Had a great guide (Bobby) on the trip. Due to delays to get to the channel, he added in an architectural tour. That was the best part. Everything was great but enjoyed learning about the buildings in Chicago.

From start to finish nothing but good vibes, good people, good views, and good drinks. The host was so alive and vibrant! She made the cruise so much more enjoyable besides from the views which were beautiful along with the weather. I will MOST DEFINITELY recommend this cruise to ANYONE! Cruise was nice but the drinks were watered down and lil weak. And cudnt always see the sites they were talking about pending upon wht side of the ship u were on but otherwise nice tour.

It was a beautiful experience. I would recommend it. It lets you experience Chicago from a different view. The sunset was perfect and so was the weather.

The cruise was nice. The little architecture history lesson was nice. Very nice atmosphere. Even though it was with other people it was peaceful with wonderful views.

The boat departed promptly at 7:30pm, however to actually enter Lake Michigan there is an additional wait time of up to 30 minutes, which is not ideal. Once you are out on the lake , the views are great. Recommended wearing warm clothes or bringing a jacket because it does get windy and chilly. On the way back as well, there is an additional wait time of up to 30-40 minutes before you can exit the lake and re-enter the dock area. Music on the boat could have been better as well.

Beautiful experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. He encouraged questions. We were even able to catch the Navy Pier fireworks.
