This lunch cruise was perfect for continuing a birthday celebration my daughter. It was supposed to have been 13 of us, but only 11 were able to make. I must commend all the crew because there was still a few of us who almost didn’t make it. The food was really good too! I truly recommend this adventure , and look forward to doing it again.

Thought we were going to cruise along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Technically we did if you consider staying within a few hundred feet of Navy Pier to be cruising the shoreline. Food was mediocre. Had school groups on the cruise who were very loud but provided some entertainment as we watched them dance. Really not very relaxing, not very good food, and not much to see.

The kiosk is not clearly marked and does not match the name on the tickets that we’re emailed. We walked up and down Navy Pier and only found it by asking several kiosks. The food was good, but certainly not “exceptional “. Drinks are expensive! The music was geared very much to one younger ethnic group. It would have been nice to have a wider variety of music played so everyone could have had an opportunity to dance. We took this for our 30th anniversary. While it was nice, it wasn’t special.

There was NO LUCHEON CRUISE!!! We asked when to board and the crew of the Spirit of Chicago boat said there were no sailings on Friday, May 20th. Funny thing is Viator sent an email on Friday May 20th and said today is your day for the cruise. Yeah right. We then went down to the Odyssey Boat and that boat was reserved for a private high school luncheon party. That was it. I wanted to show my brother and sister-in-law who flew in from Florida the skyline of Chicago from the luncheon cruise. I was looking forward for months to this luncheon cruise. It pretty much ruined our afternoon at Navy Pier. I had a paid E-ticket for 6 adults on the Spirit of Chicago for the 2:30 p.m. luncheon cruise.

I did not explore the cruise. There was no direction onto which yacht to board nor was there anyone available for city cruises. I encountered 3 different yachts. The one I was to board was leaving dock. I did not get the opportunity.

We didn't have very good service. We never received our drinks, the food was half gone and what was left was cold didn't get any bread . Had to go to the bar to get my drink. They didn't any change, has to wait, and have to find the bartender to get my change

I had a pleasant experience on this boat cruise. As me and my daughter enter the ramp to enter the boat, the staff was nice. Also, the food was healthy, fresh, and delicious. Just to add, the music selections were great. I look forward to coming back next year.🙂

This was my first Cruise experience with Spirit of Chicago. I was surprised to see a buffet style lunch during a pandemic, I was even more surprised to see that there were hand sanitizer stations present anywhere. There was no social distancing enforced and the food was awful. I actually did not feel well at all that evening. There were literally only 4 dishes aside from salad to choose from. The bar was out of almost every drink we asked for. We booked this excursion to celebrate our anniversary and I definitely regret it. The money we spent for this was not worth it al all. The wait staff was not personable or friendly.

Overall the lunch Cruise was great. I was a little disappointed because we bought tickets and it was confirmed for the Spirit of Chicago. Upon our arrival there was no one there and we had to ask different staff members about the cruise. We then stopped by the only boat that was going on a cruise and he directed us to a booth to ask there. Finally we retrieved our ticked and it was changed to the Odyssey. No update or warning given and apparently that day we were not the only ones going threw the same issue. We actually helped a couple that was experiencing the same thing!
