Relaxation, Exactly what I wanted!

This was an amazing day trip! We were a family of 9 and we had an amazing time relaxing and hanging out at the beach in Costa Maya. The taxi and pick up area was a little confusing getting through all the shops in the port and finding our way out past the taxi. Once on the axe 7 minutes ride to beach. We could se our ship dock from where we were so we knew we were close by. We are we sawn we kayak we snorkeled for N extra cost and saw turtles and beautiful fish in the ocean. Mario was amazing and gave excellent service. I would 100% recommend this place for delicious food service drinks beach and activities that were included in this price. Thank you for such a wonderful day and being able to accommodate for 11 people ages ranging from 12-74. Oh by the way massage in the beach with Veronica was excellent check it out most professional people you will meet. As weak as the snorkeling crew.

Viator doesn’t tell you the name of the beach. You are taken to a very trashy place. At first seems like you are going to be robbed. Called Viator to confirm the Beach. Once confirmed we got off and surrounded by people selling things the y did let us enjoy the beach. Don’t recommend!

Great Beach Spot and Awesome staff

We purchased the excursion for a day off our cruise ship. This is our second trip to this beach and first with this operator and highly recommend going here. The beach is nice and quiet with enough to do, including a walk to the lighthouse. The food, staff and facility was great and we highly recommend it. We had a family of 10 with two children and it was perfect for all of us.

ROBBED LITERALLY!!! STRONG ARM!! When we purchased it said transportation+food+ drinks, not the case we was held against our will and force to pay 100$ cash or turnover sea cards. They threaten to not let us in the sea port gate. Problem was when we arrived at the taxi’s Charlie took care of us via Gabriel. When we arrive at beach they did not our names listed and blamed Viator. We left due to them not having room or names listed. Then Viator refused to refund money and only agreed to 10% refund. DO NOT GET IN TAXI #91… DO NOT TAKE THIS TRIP AND DO NOT USE THE BOOKING COMPANY!!!

Hubby and I took his 82 y/o mom. The walk through the port to the other side is long! Continue the trek outside through 2 fence/gate areas to find the cabs. Probably a mile or so. Consider this if traveling with elderly or small children. Not the fault of the tour company, but dang! That needs fixed. The “beach” was meh, water 3 feet deep all the way to the barrier and very, very warm- like bath water. One side of the small wading hole (not deep enough to “swim”) was covered in sea grass and there was a fishing boat tied in the middle of the water hole. Very odd. Service was good. Too expensive for what it was.

We understand that the water depth of 3 feet may have been shallower than expected, but it is important to note that the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world, is just a couple of meters away from the shore. This makes it an ideal location for relaxation and enjoying the tranquil waters. :) We are glad to hear that you found the service to be good. Our family was on the carnival celebration cruise and did this excursion for the last day of our trip. Absolutely such a great decision to relax on our final day. The staff at the beach was SOOOOO attentive, humble, kind. I’ve NEVER had service like this on any vacation that I’ve been to. Mexico is always a great idea but this beach day excursion is a must in Costa Maya.

Spent a very relaxing day on the beach. Hated to see it come to an end. Food and drink were plentiful and delicious. Beach was clean and swimming was safe. It is about a 10 minute walk to the taxi from the pier. Everyone we asked directions seemed to know of Gabriel (our driver). On the way back. The taxi picked you up right near the beach and dropped us off at the shopping area by the pier. I would recommend this excursion to anyone in my family.
