Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Our instructor Juan was very patient with us. What I really appreciated was that after our dive, he sat down with us and explained what we had done incorrectly during the dive and how we should correct it when we decided to scuba dive again.

We took the ferry to Cozumel for the day and started with the Scuba diving trip we booked through Viator. Our dive master as MJ's aquatic, Luis, was great all around. He was very friendly and ensured we knew what we needed and felt safe before heading to the water. We are 1st timers. Once in the water, we slowly got comfortable with the gear and orientation and started descending up to the allowed limit for newbies. Luis made sure to point out interesting things to look at, from corals to shells, stingrays, and some fish. We opted for the optional photos the 2nd diver took of us as they were much better than my GoPro and the price was negotiable and acceptable. As part of the park pass ($5 each paid at the entrance), we got free snorkeling gear which we used on our own for 2 hours. Do take advantage of that! The beach in Cozumel is rocky, which makes it perfect for snorkeling and scuba as opposed to the bare sand beach where we were staying in Playa Del Carmen.

The experience is priceless. Leave enough time to explore the park. Its a very beautiful place. Make sure you bring enough money to pay for the video taken by the videographer if you choose to buy the video. Its an option. We are very happy for the purchase. Also communicate to them what you want, we have a party of 6 but 1 (no diving experience) got get left behind so she was not in a group picture. Good luck.

Luis (sp?) Was a great dive master, super chill and very relaxing for us as it was our first time. Kept us calm and answered questions, he was exactly what we needed 😃 Very accommodating and easy to find, the whole experience was awesome and way better than we had imagined ! Already set ourselves up for an open water certificate, we'll return to them once We're all ready to go ! Willy (photographer) was awesome as well, awesome pics and videos and helped us out when needed, super appreciated !

This was our first time scuba diving and the instructors were very knowledgeable, patient and informative. They answered all of our questions and made us feel very safe and comfortable while We were in the water. This lesson and dive was great introduction to scuba and was also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend MJ's dive shop. We had the best experience.

Very good diving! Long and you could see many things. The diver within you shows a lot and is very friendly and very much loves what he does. We saw many fishes and even a octopus. Caves where amazing. Highly recommend. I dont think there is also price wise anything cheaper anywhere else in Cozumel or in any other parts of Mexico.

Easy and fun dives near the port

It is very easy to catch a taxi once out of the port shopping area. $4 per person was the rate we were given and were combined with others going to the beach a very short drive away. Once at the shop, we were greeted and welcomed very nicely. The gear was typical rental gear and sufficient. Our dive master and boat crew were super helpful and courteous. It was a short walk to the boat and a short ride to the sites. Coral and fish were plentiful and healthy. We saw the largest loggerhead turtle ever! Renzo did a great job spotting critters for us.

Fantastic experience!! We arrived a bit late due to daylight saving mix up (by the way, they do not use daylight savings time.) We met Omar at M.J.'s Dive shop, last dive shop on the beach with no problem. We thought we were late and rushed but they told us no worries, relax by the beach a bit first. My partner is certified and I was not. We had our own masks and fins. They do have everything you need if you don't have your own. Our dive master was very relaxing and explained everything very clearly. Then we dove for 45 minutes in Chanknaab reef. Warm, clear water. We wrote swimsuits. We saw so many types of fish, lobster, crabs and coral. They took us to numerous statues underwater and held a shrimp. A photographer came with to take photos and videos which was great! Then the best part.... we dove thru/inside caves and tunnels, amazing!! After, they washed our gear for us. We were able to use their lockers all day to store our things. They showed us the photos and videos they took with no pressure to buy, we did,of course. Highly recommended for first time divers, divers who haven't dove in a while as a refresher even experienced divers to go thru the caves. Side note, the experience was so great, I ended up getting my open water certification within two days after this experience and dove 5 more times all over Cozumel. We will go back there anytime!!

They text you to confirm the time. They give a very quick briefing on how to dive and they always allow you to back out and get a refund before you get into the water. The whole dive was clear, relaxing and a beautiful experience of Cozumel's waters. The photographer's videos and photos are great, totally optional (package at 69 usd). Everyone's so sweet and kind and accommodating. Very much worth every dollar.

We choose this club for our 1st diving experience based on the good reviews and the fair price they have in Cozumel (about 100usd for 2 people 1 tank each). We were delighted to see that we were the only 2 people at our session. Juan the instructor is very good, professional and a smooth person. The training part was made close to the shore (not in a pool) that's a good point to be directly in real conditions. Juan was very attentive we both felt very cumfortable in water so we were able to finish the training quickly then moving further and deeper to enjoy the reef. Juan showed us lots of beautiful underwater wonders. We recommend to accept underwater pics and videos to immortalize statues, fauna and flora. Thanks to all the staff. Amazing experience for couples or beginners.
