Departure Time

6:30 AM
Covering nearly 20,000 square miles (32,180 square km) of rivers, wetlands and ancient sandstone mesas, the Northern Territory’s Kakadu National Park is the largest park in Australia. Your full-day wilderness adventure begins with early morning pickup at your Darwin hotel and an approximately 2-hour drive to the park.

When you arrive, visit the remarkable collection of ancient Aboriginal rock art in the desert at Nourlangie Rock. Take a journey thousands of years back in time as you see stories of daily life depicted through well-preserved cave paintings. Break for a picnic lunch surrounded by the park’s dramatic scenery.

In the afternoon, glide along the Yellow Water billabong on a river cruise. Learn about the natural history of the wetlands from your guide as you look for wild birdlife and crocodiles poking above the water’s calm surface.

Finally, delve deeper into the area’s indigenous history with a visit to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. At the end of your adventure, relax and soak up the scenery on the return drive to Darwin, where your tour concludes with hotel drop-off in the evening.

Kakadu in wet season a must do
Nadene_M

A very long day but worth the trip. The scenic flight is worth doing as you get to see how vast the area of kakadu is along with waterfalls inacessabile during the wet season in full flow. It's awesome. The boat ride is excellent, managed to see a couple of crocs which can be elusive in wet season. The area has already flooded and was a site to behold. Aboriginal rock art is also a treat with a little walk in the heat, flies were annoying.

Spectacular day out...

A wonderful day with Malcolm, the Driver/Guide. He displayed excellent local knowledge, was most courteous an exemplary host. His scheduling had us arrive in time for optimal advantage of Nature's spectacular display. We did join James on the optional Flight. Both James and Matthew showed skill and were most affable, as we're all ground crew associated with Top End Flights. A wonderful day with no stresses, just enjoyment 😊

This was a long day but if you don't have much time then it is worth it. The highlight was the cruise. I got to see a few crocodiles and plenty of bird life. The rock paintings were good too.

To long Bustour, only small time in the park, nice trip on the water, the driver told to much. And for that it was to expensive. Better go alone and for some days. Never again.
