One of the Northern Territory's key attractions is its isolation, but an increasing number of visitors means that the Territory's most popular attractions are becoming very busy. Cruise the Adelaide River without bumping into lots of other groups on this early-morning tour, with the chance to swim in picturesque rock pools and meet a crocodile without a horde of onlookers spoiling the experience.
  • The easy way to cruise the Adelaide: transfers, lunch and river cruise all included
  • This experience is capped at 24 guests for an intimate experience

Dylan was a fantastic Cruise guide, was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend, we saw plenty of crocs who are not shy to come right up to the boat to say hello and put on a great show.

The Wangi falls were...
Peter_C
, Aug. 2022
The Wangi falls were beautiful, as was every other attraction we stopped at. However we didn’t get enough time Wangi (only 20 mins which included a swim) at this or any other location. We weren’t offers the flotation noodles, maybe he forgot in his haste, which meant I missed out on a swim there. It all seemed very rushed and our driver Norm, whilst friendly enough was very pushy about “time”. On the way back to Darwin we met another bus at a roadhouse and had to change buses. We can only assume that this was what all the rush was for. In the end we arrived back in Darwin 30 minutes early, so again would have preferred to spend this time visiting the attractions in the Park. We understand there are “ultimate” time constraints on a day trip, but feel there could have been some compromise (more time here / less time there) and suggest that the bus group be given options and decide, rather than rush through a set program (asked if people needed to stop at Roadhouse after crocodiles rather than just doing it again and if ran out of time forego the termites).

The scenery of the trip , the river , it’s inhabitants, the waterfalls and holes and Will our guide , who made it a happy informative experience , would have preferred a bus w bigger seats and luggage rack, the tall and large people were cramped in, but We would recommend this tour

Phenomenal

Honestly the best day tour that I’ve been on, Damo, our tour guide was funny and informative and knew all the best spots to take us too. Seeing the crocs up close in their natural habitat was mind blowing and the water holes were phenomenal (hint, make sure you pop your bathers on under your clothes before the tour starts). Lunch consisted of a wraps with wide variety for fresh salad and cold meat to choose from with watermelon for desert. As an added bonus my hair is silky smooth after swimming in the fresh , clean water and my skin feels great :). I went solo, but it didn’t take long to make friends with the rest of the group. Highly recommend this tour.

The knowledge imparted by our guide, who knew plants, animals and current affairs and music history. The croc feeding was amazing along with the facts related to them. Litchfield water features a must for water lovers on a hot day. Oh, and a great lunch.

Great tour guide Kimbo, wealth of knowledge & fantastic sense of Aussie humour. Croc tour was fascinating & totally worth the experience. Each swimming water hole visited got more stunning. Great tour crowd. End of trip dropped at market to watch the sunset.

Stunning waterways
Ruth_L

Fantastic trip. Neil was a knowledgeable, personable guide. Would be difficult to have found better. If doing the trip in a 23 seater bus ask to be rotated through the seating after each stop. We were in the dicky seats at the back of the bus, lower than the other passengers and we didn’t see anything of the landscape- this part of the trip was a little disappointing given the passenger sitting next to the driver had a magnificent view of the park all day.

Spectacular Parks and wildlife adventure
Trini_H
, Jul. 2022
Wow, thank you for an amazing experience that did not disappoint. From when we booked, the organisation from those in the back end. We met Norm at our hotel, he is so delightful and fun throughout, a man with lots of stories. The trip to see jumping crocs was something we will remember (thank you to young Dylan for your knowledge and entertainment aboard the boat, spectacular). The beautiful water holes and the lunch, was so thought out and magnetic termite mounds. I was fortunate to go with my family 3 adults and 1 child (1 friend). I would highly recommend this trip. Only consideration would be if we had more time in the waterholes, but can understand time is precious on these trips. Thanks to all the staff from start to finish. 🙌

Beautiful Litchfield, disappointing tour
Susan_W
, Jul. 2022
Litchfield National Park was beautiful, but I felt that we were rushed through and not given ample time to swim at the waterholes. The tour got back almost 40 minutes before the time on the brochure and that would have made a difference. We also made 2 stops at Humpty Doo, which I didn't understand as there is nothing to see there. This also took time away from the tings we really wanted to see. The tour leader also made some inappropriate jokes, especially as there were children present.
icon Response from Host , Jul. 2022
Hello Susan, we stop at Humpty Doo in the morning so people can get a coffee and we pick up the food from there so it is fresh on the day. We arrive back to Darwin at 5pm, not 4.20pm as stated. Our guides have never gotten back before 5pm. There is a lot to do and see, so you get the opportunity to swim at all 3 waterholes. Remember you are travelling about 370 kilometres in the day. Maybe you should have hired a car instead if you wanted to spend more time at the waterholes. Our guides are very professional, full of knowledge, great day out, healthy lunch and the private croc cruise is spectacular seeing those beast in the wild. Our nearly 1,000 5 star reviews speak volumes.
