This private tour is a walking day tour. A private vehicle is not included. Public transportation or local taxis maybe used to transfer between sites. Exact transportation costs can be discussed with the guide after a reservation is finalized. Please have Japanese Yen on hand for your transportation costs. Passionate and scenic tour of Mt Fuji Five Lakes Area

Moto organised an incredible tour for us of the Mt Fuji Five Lakes Area, the Aokigahara Forest and ice caves. He brings an abundance of experience, enthusiasm and passion for showcasing the natural beauty of the area and was able to take us to some truly scenic locations to observe Mt Fuji. He also truly went above and beyond in helping to get us to a central train station and ensuring we were able to get to Tokyo as we had not pre booked our return train tickets during a very busy local travel period. The forest was a particular highlight as the carpet overgrowth over magma rock and tranquility of the location was truly mesmerizing.

Our tour guide, Chinami san, was really helpful. Not only did she make us stick to the timetable (which is the most important thing since we did not miss a single bus ride), but also, she is also able to keep up with our pace. On top of it, she brought those places to life with historical information that we would otherwise under-appreciated.

This has been our favorite tour in Japan yet. Chinami-san thought of all the details to make our 6-hr tour in the Mt. Fuji five lakes area a trip to remember. Having lived in the area for many years she knows so much history and knew all the best spots to take us to see. We learned about the history of the area from both a naturalistic and cultural perspective. She easily adjusted details of the trip at the last minute due to weather and our family's interests to make sure we had a great time. I highly recommend!
