What To Expect

Start the day with pickup at your hotel selected hotels only), then transfer to the pier to meet your private boat and personal guide for the day. This is the perfect time to create the perfect itinerary for your group's interests, whether you'd like to explore far-flung beaches, spot the whales and dolphins that appear seasonally, scout undiscovered surf spots, or simply enjoy the sun and scenery on the Gulf of Papagayo.

Motor past the estuaries and beaches that edge the Gulf of Papagayo and Snake Bay; when it's time for lunch, head to a quiet beach for an oceanside barbecue. Relax in a comfortable “beach camp” that your guide prepares, then sip a cool beer, soda, water, or juice as lunch is prepared. Dine on a fresh, Costa Rican-style meal of freshly-grilled chicken, fish, and sides.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy exactly as you wish: join your guide for a hike down the beach, snorkel in the pristine waters, or simply relax and soak up the sun on the beach. At the end of the day, board the boat for the return trip to the original launch point. Your tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Gulf of Papagayo

Begin with 8am pickup at your hotel (selected hotels only, see “Important Info” for details), then travel to the boat dock to begin your day on the Gulf of Papagayo. Work with a local guide to create the perfect itinerary for your group, whether you’re interested in finding, exploring remote beaches, spotting dolphins or whales in season,fishing or just relaxing in the sunshine. Take in some of the beaches in the Gulf of Papagayo and Snake Bay, then land at a remote beach for a barbecue on the sand. Enjoy a comfortable beach set up as the guide serves a meal of freshly grilled chicken, fish, and side dishes, along with cool water, juice, soda, and beer. After lunch is your time to snorkeling on the beatiful reefs of the bay, and if desired, you can take a hike along the beach with the guide. Board the boat for the return trip to your original departure point, where you’ll meet a driver for the return trip to your hotel.

Amazing Lunch excursion

We had a wonderful time with Mariano and Santiago. I have done several snorkeling and boating excursions but this special lunch was amazing. Grilled fish, chicken and plantains cooked and served right on the beach separated this boat excursion from any other that I have been on. I told them my food allergies ahead of time and they did a great job avoiding them.

This trip/tour was beyond our expectations! It is a must for anyone traveling in the Guanacaste area. The tour guide, captain, and assistant went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our selves. The captain grilled delicious chicken and fish for our lunch. Cold drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic were provided throughout the trip.
