Semuc Champay

The country was beautiful. I would highly recommend this trip to go see the pools, they are beautiful! However, our guide had to borrow money from us, very uncomfortable ! Then his driving was extremely dangerous on the way home. Book with a different company!
Amazing experience!!

What an exciting trip this was...

What an exciting trip this was! The natural features, caves, parks, rivers, visited were amazing. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and, also, an excellent, safe driver under difficult conditions. The hotel was very good, beautiful, natural landscaping, good food, and good service. All in all, an excellent tour
Our main complaint was that on day...
Tawnee D, May 2013
Our main complaint was that on day 1, our guide was more interested in visiting his favorite restaurant on the way to Coban, which took so much time and was not very good at all, that we never make it into Coban that day. We just stopped at the Park Hotel at around 4:00 p.m., and he said that he would meet us at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. The next day, we did pass through Coban on the way to and the way back from Semuc Champey but only stopped for about 5 minutes for a picture of a church (and that was only because we asked him to stop). We also never made it to the Lanquin Caves even though we finished at Semuc Champey around 2:00 p.m. So, your trip that advertised a wonderful time strolling around Coban and eating at one of the wonderful restaurants there never happened. And the visit to the Lanquin Caves never happened. We travel a lot and spend quite a bit of money with reputable tour companies. We always see what they say we are going to see, so this was rather disappointing. We definitely recommend going to Semuc Champey, but not using Viators.
