What To Expect
Kick off your full-day Guatemala City and Antigua sightseeing tour with hotel pick up. Head with your expert guide to Avenue of the Americas—named in 1948—where you’ll venture to the Civic Center. Notice the impressive buildings surrounding this popular destination, which date back to the 1950s and 60s. You’ll wander past City Hall, the National Mortgage Bank and the Supreme Court, as well as other municipal structures.
Your guide will show you murals by artist Dagoberto Vasquez and explain the scenes straight out of Guatemalan history that are showcased in his work. You’ll also see impressive and colorful mosaic work by Carlos Merida.
From the Civic Center you will head to Constitution Plaza (Plaza de la Constitucion). Your guide will point out the famous structures that surround you, like the National Palace of Culture, the National Library and the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Once you’ve taken in the beauty and history of Guatemala City, follow your guide through the stalls of the city’s Central Market. You’ll see handicrafts, colorful textiles, leather goods and jewelry that make great gifts and keepsakes to remember this incredible day.
Savor a traditional lunch with your guide and fellow travelers at a local restaurant before heading to Antigua—about 45 minutes west of the capital—in air-conditioned comfort. This stunning city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its Spanish colonial style and charm.
Your guide will lead you on a walking tour of the old city’s cobble stone streets, past key sites like Central Park, the Palace of the Captain Generals, City Hall and the Archbishop’s Palace. Wander past the iconic Sirens’ Fountain, which was built in the 1930s before making your way to the whitewashed halls of San Jose Cathedral. The Baroque architecture of this iconic church proves a highlight of this memorable tour. Your guide will share insight and information about the underground passageways that cloistered nuns once used to cross the street while you take in the building’s beauty.
Before returning to Guatemala City and your hotel, make a final stop at La Merced Church where you’ll marvel at Antigua’s largest fountain and savor your last bit of colonial beauty.

Very good combination of two tors in one. Antigua is simply fascinating. Do not neglect getting acquainted with the capital of the country Guatemala City. The city is of some interest, but several sights are scattered throughout its territory, so it is better to use the services of a guide or an accompanying person. Two or three hours are enough to get acquainted with the capital.

Our guide was very pleasant and gave us lots of info. We enjoyed visited both Antigua and the City.
On the confirmation, we were asked to reconfirmed by phone, but the two contact phone numbers were wrong, one is wrong number and the other is not operated.

First I want to start off saying that our tour guide Juan Pablo, and driver Juan were excellent! They were the ones that really made the tour worth it. Juan picked us up from the hotel 10 minutes early and was a safe and skilled driver. We took this tour on our first day during our trip to Guatemala, although the other two couples were on the last day of their trip. In total our tour group had 7 people. I must say that Juan Pablo was one of the best tour guides I have ever had. Not only was he friendly and knowledgable, but he was also extremely accommodating and gracious, especially towards my elderly mother. He even picked up her ring which had to be sized at the jade factory during our lunch! Antigua itself was beautiful and Guatemala City was bustling just like any other city. Would definitely recommend as an introduction to Guatemala!

Great taste of Guatemala for a short stay. I was the only participant, so it was a private tour! Jose was great with excellent information about Antigua, Guatemala City, and Guatemala as a whole. Highly recommend this tour as a starting point if it is your first time to Guatemala or you are only here for a short business trip.
