The Hamburg hop on hop off bus was an awesome experience. The Bus driver was funny. He and his colleague were very helpful upon boarding and leaving the bus. They were also very knowledgeable about side storues of each of the stops and everything in between other stops.

Great way to see the city but audio didn’t work

We used the hop on/hop off to see Hamburg whilst docked from a cruise ship for the day! A great way to see a fair bit of the city and easy to use with a pram But Our headphones to give us a bit of info as we went around didn’t work ( could hear multiple languages no matter which number on the dial we used) and we tried moving seats to try another.

Excellent value for money way to see Hamburg.

Great way to see the city. We did it coming off the cruise ship. It was 1/2 hour walk from the ship to the start at Landungsbrucke but well worth it as it takes you right into city centre. Most of the main sights covered. Very good commentary.

Light on the Lingo

This very nice tour features a guide that give commentary in German only. The rest of us must listen to the pre recorded commentary through our earbuds. We noticed that there were parts of the tour where the guide had lots to say while we had to listen to interlude music. To make matters worse, the driver forgot on several occasions to resume the commentary after it had been paused at a stop. With a more comprehensive commentary, this could have been an excellent tour.

Before you hop on the bus check to make sure the translation meets your need. Some only have live German narratives, Other have recorded narratives in multiple languages in addition to the live German narratives. The consistency of the narratives varies from bus to bus.

Poor arrangement and customer responsibility

I had book this tour before I reach Hamburg, the tour on 19.08.2018 (Sunday) and just to bad in hamburg having a cycling event on the same day. I had go to the meet up point as stated in the booking ticket. and I reach they I didn't saw any double decker, and I just wait,After 30 min, I founds something not right, so I ask to other double decker company for advice. And the driver told me that the red double decker is not working today as the cycling event is taking place. I feel so helpless as i didn't prepare to walk by my own and my plan is gone. I got no choice and being advice to write them and email to get my refund. other than this money pay, how they want to compensate my plan crash, my trip get mess up with this, they can just no show and never drop us an email to inform. i just buy this trip on 16.08.2018 thru online, i will not believe the cycling event didn't publish to the public before 16.08.2018. most of the road had closed down on that day. Becareful when you book this trip, check clearly on the hamburg event before you book. the company will not care to inform or block the date for purchase.
