Nawaz was very knowledgeable about the history of the inner city of Hamburg. He impressed us with his insite and humour along the way. I would highly recommend this tour for any history fanatic or someone like me that really didn't know much about the German war and came away learning so much!

Nawab our tour guide had a wicked sense of humour. He told and taught us the highlights as we went along. He was able to field questions very well. And answered questions before we knew we had them. Definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

You have disappointed us greatly. Canceling a tour at the last minute is neither reasonable nor acceptable. I expect you to return the money immediately. And I give you up and promise not to hire your service in the future

Dear Amos, we regret having to cancel the tour at short notice. We informed all our guests about the cancellation of the tour as soon as possible, about two hours before the tour. Maybe you recieved the message about the large chemical fire in Hamburg and the massive toxic cloud covering the city. In fact, Hamburg was on the highest catastrophy alert on the scale yesterday due to the emergency. Of course, we were only thinking about the safety and health of our customers and guides when cancelling the tour! Your money will obviously be returned. Please note, this may take a few bank days. We can understand your great disappointment but not your missjudgement of the immense emergency situation in the city yesterday. However, we wish you great travels in the future. stay safe and best regards, your Robin and the Tourguides team

Savy was a terrific guide and transformed the city through stories. Tour was in English and was also taken by locals of the city. The guide was very lively and informative. If you have an option of tour guides, ask for Savy, he is the best!

Great starting point for first timers to Hamburg. Group was large - Often could not hear the guide despite microphone. Also, in hindsight, could have spent more time highlighting other amazing sights and activities in this lovely city.

Paid for the tour and when we arrived the guide said it was free. The tour guide spent the vast majority in the same location, didn't get to see much of city. Left early due to the above fact.

Hello Kristin, thank you for bringing this subject up. It is true that you paid a €2.99 "booking fee" because you reserved through TripAdvisor. However, if you would have read the description of the tour before booking, no where does it say the tour is free of charge rather that the guests themselves are able to decide for themselves what the tour is worth by paying the guide at the end of the tour what they think the tour was worth. This is the whole concept of these tours. We also regret that you decided to leave the tour early and then complained about staying in the same location. Our tour visits many of the main sight seeing spots here in the city including the town hall, patriotische Gesellschaft, Trostbrücke, St. Nikolai memorial, Deichstraße, Speicherstadt, the Elbphilharmonie, the St. Michals church, among others... So the description of spending the "vast majority in the same location" is just simple false. We hope that you will be a little more careful in the future to read the tour description before booking and give a bit more thought to giving reviews.
