Great tour guide although it was cloudy on Mt Wellington is was an incredible atmosphere. Really worth the trip loved the rock formations. I chose this tour because I only wanted a morning out of my itinerary and it worked well.

Great bus driver . The mountain was covered in fog so visibility was not great. The driver rounded everyone up who was lagging behind with a final head count. Also stopped for us to see view on way up and down at different spots. Great trip.

Not worth the money

We missed the hotel pickup and the driver didn't wait for the 1 minute we were late or call. The tour was a shuttle to the mountain and back with no stops on the way there or on the way back. Don't bother with this tour - book the hop on hop off shuttle to the mountain!

When we got into the summit, the weather was a bit cloudy but we still enjoy the view. Tim, our bus driver, is very good, told us a lot of interesting stories. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and would recommend to others.

Good short tour

Nice pleasant drive from the Brooke Street Pier through the Hobart area up to Mount Wellington. Unfortunately, with our tour in the morning, the top of the mountain was clouded in mist badly affecting the highly anticipated view of the landscape from the top. The mist is to blame for our four star rating. Good driving, in challenging conditions, by our guide Peter who also provided an excellent commentary throughout.

Wonderful guide kept us all amused throughout and very knowledgeable. Not just a visit up the Mountain, but also a chance to go part the memorial to the Female Factory and see the original facade of the Cascade brewery as well as hear the stories of significant historical figures that influenced the city and more about the flora and fauna of Tassie. A great experience for the less mobile too; we travelled with an elderly family member and the length of the experience was also perfect at just over 2 hours.

Interesting history facts provided however the trip was not what we expected. Unfortunately couldn’t make it to the top of Mt Wellington which was disappointing. Perhaps a smaller bus would have helped. Was looking forward to visiting the female convict factory as advertised but never occurred.

Thank you for taking the time to review us and we appreciate your honest feedback. Occasionally, the road to the summit is closed due to poor weather conditions by the council. When this occurs, no vehicles are allowed to access the mountain road, so in this case a smaller vehicle wouldn't have made the difference. We do make allowances for this and provide alternate touring to another lookout with stunning views of Hobart and surrounds. We do make mention of this in our tour itineraries. With regard to the Female Factory, they have made some changes recently to their entry and ticketing system which now require a separate tour. We now advertise this as an opportunity to view the remains after the Cascade gardens visit and for the driver/guide to share the history whilst we are in the area. We apologise if you were of the understanding that entry was included. Once again we thank you for your valuable feedback and we are sorry that our tour didn't meet your expectations on this occasion.

Unfortunately we couldn’t go to the top of the mountain due to icy conditions. But we still saw some amazing views and our driver was amazing and so knowledgeable he improvised and took us to lots of different places. Was a great morning:)
