Just being able to see...
Jennifer_C, Mar 2023
Just being able to see Australian history was fantastic. Harbour cruise was great as well. Seeing the natural wonders of Remarkable cave and the arch was great.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Hi Jennifer, We really appreciate your review, thank you! We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed our free, optional Remarkable Cave tour. It's well worth a visit!
Worth seeing and well...

Worth seeing and well organised. Other historical sights like this one use hologram characters to tell their story
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Hi David, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Hologram characters would be great to tell their story and maybe that will be considered in the future? We appreciate your comments and hope to see you again in the future.
Great day out
SUSAN_P, Mar 2023
Loved the time at the site the best. The stops on the way were not necessary and detracted from the time at the site. The ferry ride was great. Mark was great. Loved the arch on the was home. Great day out.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Thank you, Susan for a great review! Your feedback is really appreciated regarding the stops on the way down and something we will keep in mind. Mark will appreciate your comments also. Thanks again.

Port Arthur

The port Arthur and cruise was wonderful. Would definitely suggest this tour again. Mark the driver from grey line was awesome
Not A Guided Tour
Arleen_T, Feb 2023
These tour was advertised as a guided tour but when we arrived at Port Arthur we were given a map and general outline then left to tour on our own. There were information boards around the site that were helpful but it is usually more interesting when someone gives commentary. Our driver was nice and made a few stops going and returning to show us other spots of interest.
Great must see tour

Port Arthur was so interesting and a must to do whilst in Hobart . The scenery along the way was stunning loved this tour I highly recommended it . Our tour driver Mark was great so informative and actually had some really funny dad jokes it’d give him 5 stars too made the day even better
Visit to the punishment...
John_T, Feb 2023
Visit to the punishment cell was terrible even today. And the visit to the Tasman arch was incredible
Good tour, lots of info, good driver
kevin_h, Feb 2023
Good tour, lots of information & pleasant driver. Too long @ Port Arthur though (could have been truncated by an hour probably).
Well worth a visit

We enjoyed the trip down to Port Arthur stopping off at Richmond and the Tasman Arch. At Port Arthur everything is very well organised with numerous guides, and golf type buggies, to assist with commentary and transport for the less cable. Interesting tour to experience a world famous historical site. Great view at Pirate Bay on the trip back to Hobart. Recommended .
Great tour to experience Port Arthur
Olivia, Feb 2023
A very very good tour. The guide was hilarious and selected some really grea stops along the way. Port Arthur was beautiful and strange, there’s so much to look at in the short time you are there. If you want to stay long enough to see it all, consider catching a shuttle.
Good way to get to Port...
Gail_H, Feb 2023
Good way to get to Port Arthur. It is a large bus. Read on reviews that time would be short so skipped the boat ride and was therefore able to complete most of the grounds
Brilliant tour guide

Apart from the magnificent Tasmanian landscape snd history, our tour guide, Phil, had a wonderful repertoire of stories which he shared along the way.
Enjoyable trip to see Historic Port Arthur.
Marlene_C, Jan 2023
Drive out to Port Arthur was scenic and enjoyable. Mark our driver/guide filled us in on what we were seeing and some of what we would see when we got to Port Arthur. We made several stops that were breathtaking. The history of Port Arthur as a men’s prison for repeat offenders was grim but historic. Tasmania, as mainland Australia, was where many UK prisoners were sent., to colonize the country and relieve crowding at home. The beautiful countryside of Southern Tasmania was also made the trip worthwhile.
A full day of “oh...

A full day of “oh wows”….just when you thought you’d seen something amazing around the corner was something else, fabulous day. Our guide was professional and super informative.
Nice experience
Maryam_H, Jan 2023
Friendly ppl, nice and complete guide, on time schedule. Visited as many as places that was possible and would recommend it.
Not what I expected from the description.
Lorraine_B, Jan 2023
I was disappointed to discover that there is no guided tour of the port Arthur site included with this trip. The bus driver provides a history of Tasmania and the penal colony on the drive to the site, your given a map and the opportunity to download podcasts to help with your self guided tour. If you want a guided tour you have to arrange one with the official guides at the site when you arrive.who are very knowledgeable, So it really wasn’t what I expected from the description. There isn’t much to see on the boat cruise around the isle of the dead so if your pushed for time you wouldn’t miss anything by skipping it.
Well worth a trip
gill_m, Jan 2023
Great day out and Port Arthur was surprisingly beautiful. Well organised, we were dropped off with clear instructions where to be when.
A great day
Robert_W, Jan 2023
The Port Arthur tour was very interesting. We had lots of time to walk around the complex. All landmarks were clearly signposted and informative. The cruise around The Island of the Dead was sobering. We enjoyed the brief stop over in Richmond on the way there and the surprise stop at Tasman's Arch, a highlight of the day. Thank you to Christian who kept us entertained with his jokes and commentary. A great day was had by all in our group.
