Traveller Tips

It’s an all day event and with children it’s nit easy not bringing in a few healthy snacks.
This includes the bus ride there, the entry fee, the boat ride and the tour of Arizona Memorial.
After a confusing pickup occasioned by unclear instructions from your tour operators staff, the tour was ok. You could shorten the trip by an hour and still accomplish your objectives.

First Time Trip
AnnaMarie_V, June 2023
First time to the island and it was important to me and my family to visit and pay respect at Pearl Harbor! It was a nice experience! Cousin Guy was a very informative tour guide! Only suggestion is eat before you go! There is no place to eat food when you are there. Just a snack bar that serves chips and soda etc.

Great tour
Cinda_T, May 2023
Pearl Harbor very sobering experience. "Cousin Fred" great driver & wealth of information. All around great tour.
Greatest History Lesson Ever
Christina_B, May 2023
We found the Pearl Harbor Tour to be such a great learning experience. From the history lesson provided by the bus driver to the intro at the Theater, to the memorial itself. This was an awesome trip, sad but nevertheless I'm really happy we went. The only part I didn't like was how the female sailor yelled at 2 people who couldn't find a seat on the boat. Those 2 people came with us, but got kicked off they had no seats. They didn't have seats because a family who didn't come with us jumped on our boat taking their seats.
A Must Do Tour
Debra_F, Apr 2023
We visited via a tour. It was a little rushed but in the time we had there we managed a walk through the museums, a trip out to the USS Arizona and the 26 minute movie about that fateful day. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and totally recommend the tour. After the visit to Pearl Harbour we got to see the war graves and given so very good information along the way. We also had time to have a short stop at the statue of one of their Kings. All in all apart from the 20 minute delay at the start that made the Pearl Harbour visit a little rushed we 100% enjoyed the tour

Our driver was extremely knowledgeable. He made the experience very interesting. The entire experience at the USS Arizona was one everyone should see. Although a somber one, extremely informative. Wish we had a little more time, felt a little rushed. We Must Never Forget!
USS Arizona/Pearl Harbor tour
Keri_G, Jan 2023
Our tour guide, Moana, was awesome! We learned a lot about Hawaiian history. Pearl Harbor/USS Arizona Memorial is a must do. Very touching experience. Two tips once you get there: See the movie before the Memorial if you can. It will make your time on Arizona even more meaningful. Also, if you have a lei, you can bring it and put the flowers in the water. It shows both a sign of respect and a way to thank those who sacrificed their life that are still "buried" inside the ship.
Unsolicited restaurant booking
Robin_P, Jan 2023
Whilst this is not a “good news” comment please note my concern at receiving an unsolicited booking on my Callander for a Paradise Cove Luau restaurant which can only have come via Polynesian Adventures as no other company here had my email address. Please investigate as this is something that I find unacceptable.

Aloha. We are sorry to hear about the calendar booking. It is not our practice to send out information about other activity providers to our guests. If you can please call us at 1-800-622-3011 to provide more details so we can help determine what occurred. Mahalo!

The tour guide was most entertaining. The only complaint is the of being stuck in traffic, should have started the tour 1 hr earlier.
Save your money!
Cory_C, Dec 2022
This tour is a scam. Save your money and do this on your own. We were promised Arizona tickets and then the day of they told us we weren't going to be able to do that. We basically paid $300 for a bus ride to the Pearl Harbor when we had our own vehicle. The venue is a free facility and we paid money to this tour to enter. There was nothing fabulous about this tour. Save your money and take your chance in The stand by line. They told us we wouldn't get on so not to even try and had we not listened to them we could have got on and seen the Arizona. The standby line was not that long. Do that first and then go through the museums. What a joke. Don't do it.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that your expectations weren't met. Mahalo.
USS Arizona Memorial not included
Marsha_G, Oct 2022
When I booked this trip, touring the USS Arizona Memorial was listed as being included. A couple days before the tour, I found out that we would not be able to go to memorial. It was too late to get tickets otherwise. When we arrived at Pear Harbor Memorial at 10:15am, we were told that we could wait in the stand by line to try to get on board boat to memorial. We waited 2 1/2 hours in line and missed the tour bus for the rest of the tour. We had to run back to bus to get bags we had left on tour bus at time we were told to return to bus and tell them we would not be finishing the tour. The USS Arizona Memorial is the main attraction of the Pearl Harbor Memorial and we did not want to miss it. We had to Uber home. We could have driven to the Pearl Harbor Memorial ourselves and not paid for the tour had we known this. We basically wasted our money.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Aloha, the National Park Service has significantly reduced the number of guests they allow to board the boats and step on the Arizona Memorial. It is our hope that this will improve when the National Park Service installs their new dock which is being replaced due to ongoing stability and safety concerns. Mahalo.
Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere!
Paola_M, Oct 2022
A complete waste of money. The ad for this trip specifically said they’d have tickets for the AZ memorial, they called the night before and said they didn’t. Looking at all of the reviews they say they’ll have them, and then they don’t. Very misleading. I would suggest going to a more reputable company, not this fraudulent company. Please spend your hard earned money somewhere else. They need to specify in their “ad” that they cannot guarantee tickets to see USS AZ. Trust me, this is NOT worth the money. And as any fraudsters would do, they will refuse to refund your money.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Due to operational issues, the National Park Service has significantly reduced the number of guests they allow to board the boats and step on the Arizona Memorial. Therefore, Arizona Memorial tickets remain difficult to obtain. It is our hope that this will improve when the National Park Service installs their new dock which is being replaced due to ongoing stability and safety concerns.
A memorable experience
Jessica_M, Oct 2022
Gensin was an awesome tour guide. He was full of all kinds of interesting facts. I really enjoyed chatting with him while we waited for the rest of our group to show up after the Pearl Harbor staff messed up peoples bookings. Thanks, Gensin, for making our Pearl Harbor Tour so memorable!!
Not quite what we expected.
Bernard_B, July 2022
We were disappointed that we didn’t realise our time would have been better spent in the museums as the Arizona part of the trip was disappointing and too long. However this was all offset by the wonderful Kaleo who was absolutely brilliant. He was worth his weight in gold as he kept us all entertained with his wit and knowledge.
Great tour
Martha_B, June 2022
I loved this tour. Lots of interesting facts. The museum was very interesting. And the memorial was a very nice tribute . The tour bus driver was entertaining but knowledgeable. The bus arrived on time.
Awesome Experience
Michael_G, May 2022
Your bus driver was awesome. Outstanding presentation, fun and full of facts about Hawaii and Pearl Harbor. Awesome experience.
Bring food on tour
Robin_e, May 2022
We enjoyed learning about things but it really should have told us to bring lunch as 6 hours is a long time with no food.
Very touching emotional...
LeighEllen_K, May 2022
Very touching emotional place. Troy and Al were the best hosts. We connected with them immediately and enjoyed the sites we saw. They were A plus hosts!!!
Pearl and city tour is worth it.
Mark_G, May 2022
For the price I think this is a great tour. Combining a visit to Pearl and the Arizona with a small city tour can satisfy a wide group. I personally might have liked more time at Pearl but the other person I was with thought it was the right amount. Driver was very respectful and well informed. He was also humorous during the city part of the tour. Good experience all around.
Must see
David_W, Apr 2022
Had to see and honor the fallen heroes. The park ranger on the memorial was absolutely excellent. Wish we could have gotten better pictures at the Punchbowl, hard to get pictures thru bus windows and depends on which side of the bus you are on.
