What To Expect

Following pickup from your hotel in Waikiki, board your comfortable vehicle and drive to the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center.

Explore the visitor center's display of artifacts from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, then board the launch boat to head out on the water and view the Arizona Memorial itself. The sunken remains of the battleship remain just where they landed on the ocean floor, memorializing the 1,000 sailors killed there in 1941.

Tour the USS Bowfin, a ship that was instrumental in the Pacific's battles during World War II. Your next stop is the Pacific Aviation Museum, where you will learn about the history of the country's war planes and the brave soldiers that flew them.

Your last activity is a guided tour of the United States' last battleship, the USS Missouri. Get a chance to look around the ship where the Japanese surrendered to the Allies in 1945, the coda to your complete Pearl Harbor tour. Along the way, enjoy narration by your professional driver and guide that will help bring the whole experience to life for you.

The 9.5-hour day of exploring the island's World War II history ends with drop-off at your Waikiki hotel.

Powerful experience
JamesH_P, May 2023
Seeing the Arizona was quite moving, but this tour was about much more than visiting the memorial. The Battleship Missouri, submarine and museums were also informative and excellent. Quick recommendation -- suggest to the driver than he spend more time on the history and less time on his political opinion and complaints.

Great trip, driver was friendly and helpful. Take time to see all the tour provides. Lots of walking , make sure to bring comfortable shoes
Excellent tour that was worth the money
Gary_B, May 2023
Kimoke'o was an amazing tour driver. Wish we would have had a little more time at the Missouri. You need to make sure you go into the Arizona memorial theater before you go to the memorial, it really enhances the experience.
Great tour

Everything was great. Lunch is a big meal and decent food. The tour bus drivers are knowledgeable and Friendly. But Viator does not honor any military or Veterans discount. Even though the venue does honor those discounts
Rushed
connie_g, Apr 2023
Way too rushed at each stop. Not enough time to fit it all in in one day. Each stop needs more time.

Thank you for your comments regarding the duration of stops. We appreciate the feedback. Mahalo!
Pearl Harbor Deluxe Tour with Ernie
Jeremy_L, Mar 2023
Our deluxe adventure tour with Polynesian adventure was a great way to visit Pearl Harbor. Our tour guide Ernie is a local to Hawaii with a family connection to the events that occurred in the Pacific Theater. Ernie was entertaining, funny, and shared stories of his upbringing. The tour itself was great but would’ve liked to have had more time to spend and fully take in the exhibits. As others have mentioned, there’s a good chunk of the tour time spent in transportation including an extended airport pick-up. First stop was at Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial. Second stop was on Ford Island at the aviation museum where we had lunch (pre-ordered on the bus). The third stop was the USS Missouri that included a 30 minute tour. Quick tip – there are gift shops at each stop, merchandise at each is a little different. Personally, I liked the stuff at the aviation museum and USS Missouri best.
Highly recommend

Our tour with Kimo’keo made our day seamless and enjoyable. The tour took all of the logistics and legwork off of our hands so we can appreciate each memorial

Didn't see the Memorial due to the wind. The Missouri was our favorite. The Bowfin was pretty neat also. Our tour guide Chris was very informative during the entire bus trip. We learned a lot.
Pearl Harbor - a memorial
Richard_G, Feb 2023
Pearl Harbor is a fabulous memorial- a must see. The bus was on time, clean, comfortable. Our Driver, Ernie, was informative and humorous. The lunch was tasty. The provided water was cold. The Arizona is impressive. The tour day itself was a bit disjointed with us going back and forth to Ford island twice, this used up at least half hour of our visitation time. The hanger #79 was closed so we missed the chance to see the planes up close. The Missouri had a special function and we were rushed off. But all in all a good, informative day.
A wonderful experience
Elliot_M, Jan 2023
Visiting Pearl Harbor has been on my bucket list for years. We booked this tour because it was the most comprehensive package and one the few to offer guaranteed Arizona tickets. Except for a hiccup ( pickup was an hour late because the original driver/guide called off sick) we still had a reasonable amount of time to visit all four major sites. The replacement driver/guide was excellent. He covered Hawaiian history, tried to teach us Hawaiian words and their meaning, and pointed out many sites going to Pearl Harbor and on the ride back to our hotel . We had low expectations for lunch; but we’re pleasantly surprised. It was provided at the Air Museum. Our selections, a Kailua pork wrap and a chicken and rice plate were excellent. If you’re looking for a tour package that includes more than the Arizona and Missouri, this is the one to book.
Well worth it, would probably improve as Covid restriction ease.
Mark_Z, Mar 2022
Visit to Arizona the best (and most meaningful) part of the tour. Submarine museum and visit good. Not enough area (decks) of the Missouri available to see, particularly engine rooms, I understand this was probably due to Covid and lack of staff but still good.
Garfield was awesome!
Robert_C, Oct 2021
Garfield, our guide/driver, was amazing! He was very friendly and made every effort to make all of us feel like family! I wish we could have had more time at each of the memorials, however there are only so many hours in a day! I will definitely be back again to repeat this adventure and get more time to see things in more detail.

Kaleo with Polynesian adventures was our tour guide, with covid he wasn’t allowed to walk us through Pearl Harbor but he was very informative while driving us around. It was a great time all 8 in our groups thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it again
Absolutely amazing!

KimoKe’o was our guide and he made the experience more enjoyable with his professionalism, knowledge, and humor. I will absolutely recommend your tour to friends and family. He went above and beyond to make our experience spectacular!
A Moving Experience
Isadore_G, Apr 2021
This is a very complete tour of Pearl Harbor, with plenty of time to see everything. It starts with a self-guided tour of the submarine, Bowfin. Then the museum and park. We were then ferried across the harbor to the Arizona Memorial. There was time to walk around, learn and reflect. After returning, we were taken to Ford Island to see the air field and aviation museum. We had a light lunch there. From there, we were taken to the Battleship Missouri. It’s self guided, however there were multiple, extremely friendly, guides aboard ready to answer any questions. The Missouri is impressive. If you have the time, this tour is recommended.

Pearl Harbor revisited
Roving08486930153, Apr 2019
Pearl Harbor is very informative, humbling and definitely a worthwhile stop when you visit Oahu. It is a long day so wear comfortable clothing and shoes but well worth walking through history and honoring those who endured this tragedy. I gave this a 1 star rating for several reasons: Pearl Harbor opens at 7 am, we were the last group pick up at 7:30 am on this tour. However, we did not arrive until 9 am or later due to having to pick up a tourist arriving at the airport from a different island! We would have appreciated having the full day at Pearl as there is so much to see and absorb. This company needs to figure out a better system to accommodate these "commuting" tourists! We also do not believe we benefited much from booking this tour and paying the high price - could have taken a separate means of transportation and purchased one of the all inclusive tickets at the visitor center, thus gaining more time at Pearl in addition to saving ourselves considerable money. Having booked tours through Viator in the past, we thought this would be great - they may want to reconsider working with this tour company. We would not recommend booking this tour. Not worth this high cost.

What a fabulous day! We had a terrific driver that was a wealth of information about the events of Dec7. He was very accommodating and gave us grace at tips so we had great seats and didn't miss one single thing. The van was comfortable and we had a good group. Would definitely recommend using Viator for this excursion!!

Brilliant tour, very humbling. You get to go to all 4 main areas. You aren’t allowed to take bags/rucksacks etc into the areas, there is a drop off area with lockers but you really doubt need to take bags on this trip. Had a great, informative day here. Well worth it.
