Amazing experience!

Couldn’t recommend enough, such lovely vibes, great amount of wine and knowledge of wine. Lovely driver who was treating the group so well. Gorgeous scenery and a great amount of good quality food, we were NEVER short of yummy food in front of us. It was a fabulous way to view Hunter Valley without the need for accommodation :)

A lot of drinking and food

It’s a lot of time in the van and the van is not roomy but we saw beautiful countryside. The gin was very good and the education about Australian wines was excellent.

Low quality vineyards

I had very high expectations for the wines (since this area is world renowned). Unfortunately, we were taken to the lower quality vineyards and I didn't buy a single bottle of wine. Our tour guide also didn't seem too interested in teaching us about the region and the wine growing practices. Surprisingly, the distillery was the highlight of the tour.

Thanks for the feedback, Joy. On that day the other guests bought 16 bottles of wine/spirits, and we had guests from USA, Canada, Italy, Hong Kong and Colombia, so a broad range of tastes. Peter, your guide that day, has had excellent reviews previously, so he's a bit baffled as to why his commentary and customer engagement wasn't acceptable to you. We're glad you liked the distillery!

Excellent trip

Excellent from start to finish. A good lunch with choice was provided. Mark our driver was very knowledgeable and kept us well informed of all aspects. The wine, cheese and chocolate was all great. The gin and vodka part was fun mainly because of the guy who did the talk. All in all a great day which although was long just seemed to fly by. I would recommend this trip.

Driver was nice and fun to talk with. We missed our pickup spot by 2 min, but they called and emailed to try to get us to a new pickup location, we were able to get to. Make sure of the pickup address, not the ‘Near By…’ area mentioned. Still a great trip, and plenty of wine tastings. Would do it again.

Enjoyable day in Hunter Valley

My daughter and I enjoyed a fun filled day with our guide Tom who was very organized and entertaining. The day had many stops along the beautiful countryside. We toured a winery behind the scenes and also enjoyed a nice selection of wines to sample. Followed by a delish lunch at 4 Pines. It continued with a wine cheese pairing, a chocolate wine pairing and a distillery tasting. And I was able to spot a group of kangaroos for extra excitement. Great way to see other parts of Sydney without the hassle of driving.

Think twice before booking.

The walk around the first winery. The lad that talked was excellent and we tried some good wines. The lunch stop was good and the cheese tasting nice. The distillery was a complete waste of time. The chocolate tasting brought to life by Caitlin who very was good. However 2.5 hours drive each way was a killer with a driver who lacked personality.

Very enjoyable and holistic tour to Hunter Valley, covering from a walk through a vineyard, wine tasting of the produce from the same vineyard. The distillery tour was a good break from wine for Gin and Vodka. Then on to wine pairing with cheese and chocolates. Great guide too. What more can you ask for!

Plenty of options for wine tastings and pairings of cheese and chocolates, plus a beer with lunch if you wanted it, and the distillery tasting of vodka, gin and liqueurs was a fun bonus. Having GF/V/vG option available for lunch choices makes this tour available for anyone. Our guide kept us on track and without feeling rushed. A long day but sooooo worth it.

The winery tour at first winery was really nice. The wine pairings with cheese and chocolates was nice. Would have rather skipped the distillery and went to another winery instead. Although the tour was excellent it felt a little too commercialized.

Day trip to Hunter Valley

Mark, our guide was great. He gave us a lot of information while driving to Hunter Valley. At our first stop “de Juliis wines” we where lucky to be there when a truckload of grapes arrived for processing. It was a small family winery and the owner gave us a full tour. We sampled 7 wines. Our next stop was lunch and more sampling of wines and cheese. Than off to a distillery and another winery where we sampled wine with paired chocolates. If you like wine this is a tour for you. You also get to see the beautiful countryside north oh Sydney. Enjoyed the tour with my sister thoroughly.
