Will be operated by a multi-lingual guide (Spanish and English)
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
Trail conditions and rider ability may alter routes; therefore any features described herein may not be available for each tour. Please speak directly with your guide on the day of your tour for an up-to-date description of the expected route, as conditions can change on a daily basis.
Tilapia farm and restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and a delicious alternative is provided for lunch on that day.

ATV drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license
Unlicensed participants and children under 16 must ride as passengers
The number of ATV passengers in your group may not outnumber the ATV drivers

This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travellers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Amazing Adventure

It is our first time visiting Costa Rica and riding ATV’s. Our guide, Jesse was very patient, kind, and informative. My husband and I both rode with our daughters and that can be a little nerve racking, but Jesse definitely made the experience pleasant. We visited a beautiful waterfall and seen Toucans and monkeys. Our lunch was delicious! Can’t wait to visit again!

This tour was AWESOME! This was my second time on an ATV (a lot of our friends too) and a couple of first timers... and everyone agrees on how much FUN it was! John Paul and Jose were amazing tour guides!! They did a great job of showing those that had never been on an ATV before, and made sure that we were all safe and had the best time! The paths were sometimes tough but always fun! The waterfall that we stopped at was so beautiful too!!! The place we stopped for lunch was delicious and really felt like we were in someone's home! I would highly recommend to anyone that is going to this area, to go on this tour!!!!

We were very impressed with our guide and even the help at the greeting Center. Our vehicles were well maintained and worked very well. The guide was very attentive to our children stopped so we could take pictures and was very patient and kind. This 4 hour ride including the lunch was an amazing experience!

Our guide, John, was so friendly, fun, and knowledgeable about the wildlife and took the time to educate us on the plants, insects, and animals in the rainforest. The ride to the top of the mountains is amazing going through the greenery, with an epic 360 view of the Pacific and vast rainforest. A short trip down to a waterfall that was so refreshing, followed by an authentic typical Costa Rican lunch (All made by scratch and hand squeeze juice!). Overall incredible way to experience the beauty in Costa Rica!

Great Experience! Tour was fantastic. Trails were challenging but very manageable for the intermediate level. The views were very amazing. Guide was awesome. Lunch was perfect. Nothing bad to say about this trip. We enjoyed going to the pool rather than the waterfall, but both would be fun. Great value!

Alexis our guide was great. He stopped to show us birds and iguanas on the way up the mountain(Toucan Sam). He gave great explanations in both English and Spanish. He got in the waterfall with us and swam a little bit. The restaurant we ate at was fantastic. The fish and chicken meals were perfect. Juice was tasty too. We rode through the river, rain, mountain side and jungle. All 4 hours were awesome.

Excellent tour if you want to experience Costa Rica away from the beach! We drove through a beautiful town in the mountains and at the too we stop for the amazing view!! After that, we went to a natural pool with a beautiful waterfall. Then we took lunch and drove theough a field where we saw a huge 500 year old tree. It was an incredible experience and the staff and guide tour were very nice and welcoming! Definetly recommend it!

I was very pleased with this 1/2 day ATV Tour with Adventure Tours Costa Rica. Our group of five arrived at their facility at 8am and were warmly greeted by the bi-lingual receptionist and two bi-lingual tour guides. We quickly checked in, signed waivers, and were given a quick overview of our tour plans. Once we were ready to go the guides showed us to five nice new ATV's and helmets they already had ready to go for us. After a quick safety briefing we were off to a nice trip through town and then up through the rainforest/rural area around Jaco. After stopping by a few waterfalls and other beautiful scenic spots for some pictures we stopped for a break and had a delicious lunch at a Tilapia farm. Very nice people, great food chicken/steak/pork chop plus extras and a great, quiet atmosphere there! Once lunch was finished we headed back to Jaco the way we came. I recommend this trip, it was alot of fun and a great way to see the Costa Rica scenery. My only compliant was that they wanted a deposit of 1000 for 1-4 ATV's and then another 1000 for any additional 1-4 ATV's. Since we had a group of five I had to put a 2000 deposit down for the five ATV's. We did not have any damage on our ATV's so the entire 2000 was refunded when we returned to the facility at the end of the day and it has already posted to my account so I am fine but I wish this was better explained up front so it was not a surprise the day of. On another note, I used this same outfit to book a private surfing lesson later in our trip and was very pleased with that excursion as well. I recommend using Adventure Tours Costa Rica for scheduling your fun plans in the Jaco area. I will use them again if I make it back to the Jaco area in the future.
