This experience will teach you all about chocolate in Herradura. You’ll spend about 30 minutes walking with your guide, learning about the International Cocoa Collection of the Central Pacific, and the history and impact on the economy. You’ll also get to try the cocoa fruit, and a few kinds of chocolate, pairing them with tropical fruit. As a bonus, you will learn about Costa Rican sugar cane and coffee, too!

The tour guide never showed up and we didn’t get any tour. It was very disappointing as we waited for it and were looking forward to it.

Day of the trip, I called, messaged and even emailed the company to see if they were going to reschedule or continue with the tour, because it was raining a lot that day off and on. The tour was set for 3pm and I started reaching out to them a little after noon. Eventually, I called Viator and explained to them, so they even reached out to the company multiple times with no response. I would not recommend this company because they are unprofessional. My children were really looking forward to this experience, as it would have been the last one before we left and they just really wanted to experience this one in particular.
